Back when I was first introduced to Cube via The Magic Show, cards like Tradewind Rider and Akroma, Angel of Wrath were staples. Today, these cards sadly don't make the cut. Cube has only become more and more powerful with each set. So my question is, did you prefer a particular 'era' of Cube more than another, or in your mind does Cube continue to become increasingly enjoyable as more sets are released?
Thanks for the reply! I was thinking the swap could also be Evolving Wilds -> Prismatic Vista, since the cards are functionally similar, but now you can use the mana you get with it.
I think the Chaos Warp slot could be so many things: Heroic Intervention if you wanted reactionary card, Krosan Grip if your meta dictates it. I think your new choice is pretty cool
Hi Guerte, I've been a lurker both here and through the TappedOut page for quite a while, and I finally have a few card selection questions!
Is Prismatic Vista good enough? Seems like if you're willing to run fetches to get double Omnath triggers, that doing it with this is good as well? How about Wrenn and Six?
I'll take a stab at a prediction: you value color fixing quite high (running all Signets, 5 lands per Guild, etc) and though there's lots of fixing, you're extremely cautious about the inclusion of cards with semi-difficult casting costs. In the end, I think you'll swap...if not for a few months for testing.
For a long time I've thought Decree of Justice was the better white X spell. Was wrong, the flexibility to use the card early goes a long way! I've never had a 'Warrior' synergy occur in Cube before tonight. Great Cube design choices, man.
My prediction was that Powder Keg or Ratchet Bomb would be the swap instead of Scroll Rack. Do you think the card has lost a lot of power in modern-day Cube lists?
I've always enjoyed your Cube at the 540 size. My favorite cards you added back are creatures with Landfall. In fact I expected to see Loam Lion over Mirari's Wake once I saw the first few efficient creatures.
Any guess on the total cost of the SW Cube? I figure if I'm willing to spend a bunch of money on some Zendikar expeditions, maybe I should see if I can build a second Cube with the money first

I have to wonder if Contagion will come back later. Our appreciation for it has grown as we become more experienced with your list.

Why is Thornling an XCC but Morphling 5CC?
