Player A & B are in the 5th extra round of a tournament. It's player A's turn. He plays Walk the Aeons and wants to take the extra turn. Is he able to do this? That means do those Extra turns count to those additional extra turns that are officialy given after its time up?
thanks
ps. I hope you understand what Im trying to ask and excuse my english (grammar)
I played against this at our qualifier and I was really annoyed.. I played Izzet Tron and simply had no chance. We played until nearly 20 people were standing around us ( I didn't understand the combo so we had to go the long way...)
If not for this crap (sorry) I would have qualified...
But the important thing about this post is: he did'nt play with Locket of Yesterdays nor with Compulsive or Carefull Consideration, but with Howling Mine and Muddle the Mixture. Together with Recollect and Reclaim he got that Walk back and did the endless loop. If he didnt have one of those he just payed the buyback. Coiling Oracles were the finishers *LOL* he also played repeal and lots of counters (i think 8-10) Remand, Leak and Voidslime. The creatures were Loaming Shaman (in case of decking yourself), Birds and Coiling Oracles.
He played lots of Signet's, also some off Signets if I remember right.
Maybe I can even get the list from him, I'll see.
He did very well, but I think he lost to Dragonstorm in the last round ( I hope so )
This list has been played by Gregory Pierron at the French Regionals, he placed second, right behind an other Angelfire... they both played Calciderm, but the first place didn't play Sulfur Elemental main!
Today at our first national qualifier there was like 5 angelfire in the top 8 and 2 tron & 1 dralnu... the winner played a perfect 6-0 with his angelfire dec. that had Sulfur Elemental and Calciderm mainboard, dropping the Hussars and other things for them... I tell you'll Calciderm is pretty insane! And Sulfur Elemental even makes your bad Dralnu matchup better.
He also played Demonfire... dunno why you all droped it (because of Boom/Bust I guess) but I thinks its good (better?) in this deck (havent got much experience with it, so excuse me if Im wrong). But that guy raped Dralnu, mirror, URzatron and U/W Tron
ATM Angelfire is superior to most of the format except DStorm and Project X (altho I never tested the matchup much).
How does the matchup against Dralnu & (Dark) Pickles look like? I played twice in a tourney against it with my Pickles and won both games 2-0, but the other player was bad so that results arent really valid.
How does the matchup look like?
And also, how are your chances against the U/R and U/W Tron? Does it really depend on the early tron & Spellburst lock? What is if they dont get it early enough?
thanks
