Well well, this is the 2nd site that goes down on me... I moved here after Essential Magic went into a deep slumber around 2015, never to really wake up again (it's still around, but with a completely dead forum).
Sad news, not sure where to go now once MTGS closes down for good.

Well, if MTGS was so horrible, how come you're still here complaining about it? Dumbass.... what a lame comment!Quote from ironocy »Hahaha yes! Good riddance, this forum was terrible. Horrible mods, dumb rules, and convoluted sections and subsections. It's no surprise you didn't have the resources to maintain, this whole site is an unnecessary labrynth. Farewell MtGS, I have lived to see the day this site collapse under its own weight. What a glorious day indeed! -

1 Lonely Sandbar
1 Remote Isle
1 Temple of the False God
2 Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx
4 Dungeon Geists
4 Master of Waves
4 Shorecrasher Elemental
2 Vedalken Mastermind
3 Wasp Lancer
2 Kira, Great Glass-Spinner
3 Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir
2 Bident of Thassa
3 Ætherize
2 Cackling Counterpart
1 Cyclonic Rift
1 Æther Gale
I agree with you but if I add the Bidents again, then what should I remove instead? I am thinking of maybe cutting 1xÆtherize and 1xCackling Counterpart.
I see your point, but I believe I should rather cut the Bidents as they are not essential. So, by having 4xÆtherize, 1xÆther Gale and 1xCyclonic Rift, I should have enough control to save my ass from most situations. Thanks for taking the time to comment, and moreso for your prompt replies.
Hmm, you are right, I hadn't thought about getting lands this way. I will consider trying the card and see how it works.
Otherwise, do you see any weakness or flaws in the deck?
I agree with the above statement, but I that case, I would need to use lands which produce other colors, otherwise I could only play blue spells from my opponents (if they have any) or colorless, which does not seem ideal. Unless I am missing something here?

So far, the deck comes out charging rather quickly. I added Cackling Counterpart to further abuse master of waves and also to add more control by copying Dungeon Geists.
Also, I realized upon playing the deck that Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx and Vedalken Mastermind work beautifully together during my turn, enabling me to bounce the land after one use, play it again and tap for some insane amount of mana.
I have to play more games to get a good feeling of what works, but I am quite pleased how the deck handles itself. I am wondering what could be replaced to make it truly amazing, any ideas? Any criticism is appreciated.
Thanks all,

I will test it tomorrow night.
As for the Looter, great idea, I have a few lying around which could be used.
Thanks for your input, I will think about it and come back with an updated deck build.
All right then, I will have to check another option for a 2 drop creature.
Not bad at all for a start, don't you think?
I have seen friends play Vedalken Mastermind and this creature can sometimes really affect an opponent's decisions, since it can become difficult to effectively deal with permanents while he's on the board.
Also, keep in mind that this deck, while featuring some great cards, is meant for casual games only.
Not to protect him, but rather to abuse him by sending back to my hand then recasting him, thus obtaining more tokens in the process.
Maybe 4 copies are too much, but I like your suggestion enough to give it a try.
Since I am playing Rhystic Study, I assume that my hand will be full most of the time. Vedalken Mastermind would work well with master of waves, while serving as a safeguard against removal.
