I went 3-1 at my draft going Dimir Mill, beating Dimir, losing to Simic, and then beating two Orzhov. Luckily I was able to pull Mind Grind in my guild pack so that was a nice start. Crypt Ghast was a big star I had almost every game. Allowed me to use Mind Grind for big numbers (highest was x=8), bounce creatures with Keymaster Rogue and play them again to trigger multiple Sage's Row Denizen mills, and the extort was really nice with spare mana.
Not sure if I'm missing something here, but you do realize that the +1/+1 counters from Mighty Emergence do not take away the -1/-1 counter from Persist? As in, he can still only die twice like any Persist creature.
Actually, they do. Its been that way ever since Shadowmoor was released.
Lol, so the fact that if you draw 4 of a card means you get a t2 kill is worth building a deck around? Thats not a deck. That'll happen a time in 1000. You could try and milling deck, but I'm not sure how strong it will be.
Technically, its 24/11703240 chance of it happening, or a .000205% chance.
The whole mill 52 on turn 1/2 is hard to believe, but with the Snare and Twincast, you can easily play 3-4 Archive Traps/copies on turn 2 or 3.
Cipher is pretty ridiculous if you can encode them on creatures with evasion, especially if you have Consuming Aberation on the board. Paranoid Delusions was very good, Mortus Strider for more triggers, Grisly Spectacle was pretty solid removal for me.

You can get it on turn two actually. T1 Dark Depths, T2 Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth and the Hexmage.
