    It gives more value to any of the cards you play. Earlier it helps fixing land drops and later it makes you empty your hand faster and sometimes make a double scapeshift of scapeshift into titan.


    As far as I understand your point with amulet, im also having difficult times to understand the advantage it propose against, for example, explore.

    If you have scapeshift in hand as a win condition, amulet becomes nonrelevant as it doesnt speed up your combo. Explore/farseek on the other hand do. Also if you plan to get the titan path, you have 1 less ramp that mean 1 less land in play. You could cast a titan on turn 3 but it won't win the game on the spot and leaves you behind again in the mountain topdeck win. All that assuming it doesnt get countered, because if it does you lost a card and a possible ramp speel that could accel your win by 1 turn. It doesnt give a turn 3 win, so you arent speeding the deck up (possibly slowing it down if you dont have good draws to make amulet count) and it removes some consistency and inevitability, there is always a point were a ramp, mountain, fetch, StE or anything that aint a forest is a topdeck kill spell and you remove some of them.

    I have never expierenced problems with land drops that could be fixed with ammulet either.

    And whats the point into scapeshift into scapeshift, or scapeshift into titan? scapeshift for the win, or save the scapeshift for the 7-8 lands to kill.

    Hi guys! I hace been playing with the deck for over a month now and loving it! I top 8ed in a GPT of 40 people, loosing only to naya burn. I was thinking too about gaeas revenge but came up with the idea of Ruric That, the Unbowedfor a lot of different matches. It bothers burn, blue moon, infect if we can slow them a little bit down and a lot of control decks that heavily rely on spells! What are your thoughts about it?

    Rakdos Charm is even better. They make an allin with their creatures, if you dont need to crack a plating just make 5 dmg for only 2 mana!! I've found charm to be better and more versatile. If you want to dominate affinity just use shattering spree.

    Its obvious you are not going to play with it if you dont splash black. What i meant is that, if BB isnt there, you can always discard it. Playing looting T2 before land drop and discarding 1 (potentially 2) will give you board and card advantage. I think if you play with bloodghast the last thing you want to do is hardcast it.

    Edit: I've been testing it, and found it preety amazing. Having a creature to enter constantly that doesnt need to gets payd is awesome. It takes the deck to a midrange style

    If you want it, it isnt neccesary to pay BB... The best part about bloodghast here is that you dont need to pay for them, just discard it with faithless and then put it into play with the landfall ability! Yo dont even need to play a black splash!

    Maybe Zoo will have better match ups than goblins, but goblins can easily beat zoo and given the current meta, goblins has chances against every deck.

    If you didn't win the game by turn 4-5 or leave them at burn range for a topdeck, then no card will save you.

    Ghost Quarter would be an auto-include if you are playing the trap, that way, if your are against a monocolored deck that doesnt shuffle, for the cost of 1 land = minimum of 13 milled cards. It Can also ping one of your lands to activate crab!!

    Maybe you are basing that dragonlord>FoD too much in theorics. Test them. FoD is a 1 drop, so it can attack as a 2/2 turn 2 for the same mana you are playing the dragon turn 2. Turn 3 your FoD could be attacking for 4 (with first strike) while you could only have a 2/2 with 3 lvl counters. On the next turn, if you played another land, there is something just wrong cause you should handle with 3 lands reeeeeeeeeeally well with RDW and in that case you have to spend another mana to make your 4/4, taking you away the possibility to play bolt+incinerate or javelin (add here any stupid burn combination of damage for 3 mana).

    You will never want to play a dragonlord in place of FoD. It's just hundred times faster and better. Plus both have a "PLEASE KILL ME" sign in their head, in that case I prefer to put that presure with 1 mana instead with 2 in this kind of deck.

    I dont see leyline of sanctity beeing a problem if you have keldon marauders, goblin guide and figure of destiny. The only thing you have to do is burn everything that can get into their way.
    Giving the circumstances of recent bannings, I think the best option is Mono Red. Combo has been slowed down, just like zoo without zenith. The only thing you want to do is burn and hit with your cute friendly boys. Bob is a great card, sure, but i dont want to miss 3-6 damage in turn 2 for a card in turn 3. About the green splash, i would never use it for grove, tarmogoyf could do much more damage...

    What about pentavus? with a doubling season in, he can be a huge pain!! Comes in as a 10/10, and then for only 1 mana you have 2 1/1 flyers. It can combo out with earthcraft too!
