I do quite like Oblivion Ring, because it's a catch-all answer to cards like Sorin, Hero, Runechanter's Pike, Swords, and Titans, should they resolve. However I haven't played enough with the new list and I want to see if I feel I'm missing Doom Blade. It'll also be a good way to answer Grafdigger's cage game 2 from an opponent you're not expecting to board it in.
My only concern with O-rings is that they cost 3, and can hence be unwieldy. It ends up being very awkward to have to O-ring a Hero in your turn 4 mainphase.
I have played with O-ring, and i also find that it is just way too clunky, but is still a strong catch all answer. Out of interest, what does everyone use to deal with resolved planeswalkers?
I think in a meta where tempo is everything and tokens are running rampant, Dissipation Field is actually a very astute inclusion by the OP. I'd cut one Gideon and one Negate for a Sun Titan and the Field. Otherwise, your deck looks pretty solid
The thing about dissipation field is that returning an undying creature to it's owners hand after it has died once seems... terrible. The card is good in some circumstances however, i think i will test it out
This deck is playing out really well, the zoo matchup is great at the permission means that you don't just fold to combo. I will probably replace the remands with condescend, as i feel that the hard counter is better in this deck to permanently deal with the threat.
So how's the match up against control, and how is it against a combo deck (Valakut, or Pyromancer's)? Do you have sideboard for these games?
Most control decks in standard run very few (usually just 4 Mana Leak) counterspells, and still try to win with creatures eventually. You can usually just fog them out. The deck basically throws games vs combo decks at the moment. I haven't look at it in ages
For Modern, I feel that any of the four mana wraths are too slow. Engineered Explosives will be the go to card i feel (espessially with trinket mage) for mass removal. EE for 1 or 2 does amazing things vs zoo decks.
If i had the time/could afford it, i would be really keen for modern! The aggro/control/combo balance seems really good. A great article was written here about the format, looks exciting.
I have a little. After all the combo bans (a good thing imo) zoo is generallyagreed to be the "deck to beat". I also think that affinity (with tempered steel goodies) and blue based control (splashing for goyf, Engineered Explosives, and other goodies). If i was to play in a modern tournament tomorrow, i would probably play mono white control (matyr of sands esque).
How is the Izzet these days? winning as always im sure
In some ways i kinda miss you guys but the world of mtg seems so bad to me now (i left during the WTF BLOODBRAIDED ELF phase) so i dont think ill come back, but im going to say hi anyway
Info?
But seriously, this looks cool. Might give it a go, i never played the previous ones

Black? I have been playing UG in standard, let me know if you want the list
I have no idea what that is, but it sounds awesome
