permanents is usually translated to "bleibende Karten", which basically means "staying cards".
Wording it "bleibende Karten oder Karten" would sound weird since the latter would logically be a subset of the first. But using the more literal translation of "Permanente" is inconsistent with other cards.
It's a bit tricky either way, but going with "bleibende Karten oder Karten aus deiner Hand" would be much clearer imo.
do you need a treasure in play when you activate the ability, or when it resolves?
Both, actually.
Since it says choose another player, the treasure token is the only target of the ability, so you can't activate it without a valid target and it fizzels if the treasure leaves the battlefield before resolution.
I'm a bit torn on the lands. On first glance they look great and I like the idea to go with the map here. On the other hand, the focus seems a bit off for most of them.
The Shire works well as plains flavorwise, but they could have chosen the section of the map better, the one they went with is bit too wooded (feels more like a WG dual land imo)
The island mostly works, though an actual island instead of a coastline would fit even better. Numenor would be an option here
Mordor's landscape strikes me as more of a mountain area than swamp (again feels more like a BR dual land), but it probably works for the color scheme and "eternaly shadowed land of the dark lord" flavor
The mountain is all over the place... it's mountains, woods, plains and a bit of sea, nothing of which feels really dominant here. Strongest argument would be the written "white mountains", but that feels like writing "mountain" with a sharpie on an island and calling it a day. Going by the art alone, I would guess it's not a swamp, but otherwise it could be pretty much everything
The forest feels pretty evenly split between Mirkwood and the Misty Mountains (im repeating myself, but yeah, feels like a RG dual land). Just moving the map section a bit to center more on the actual forest would fix this imo
Again, I like the general look, but for me, focussing more on terrain fitting the actual land types and/or "zooming in" on the map a bit would have worked better here then trying to cram all relevant locations onto the cards.
Looks more like they're made from Tekuthal's matrial. Note the lack of exhaust flames on Urabrask's shoulder vents.
I assume its a holdover from Tekuthal's original ability, probably having something to do with creating clones? It's suspicious that exactly the same arrangement can be seen in the black and white art treatment, so it was very explicitly stated in the art prompt.
The missing connection between the art and the card's mechanics was what made me wonder, especially since it very clearly depicts two praetors. A changed ability late in development would definitely explain that.
And you're right, in the regular art it's a lot clearer that those are extensions of Tekuthal`s body. When I started typing my reply, there was just the b/w art posted though.
What is happening in Tekuthal's art?
It looks like it is puppeteering Vorinclex and Urabrask againt each other. Is it meant to be running some kind of simulation, or is there some actual manipulation going on?
the white ones flavor text proves that photo is not elsepth dying she’s stashing it in whatever the abyss area of the blind eternities is.
Sounds like she is going there herself and just taking the sylex with her, so it doesn't feel like just tucking it away without personal sacrifice. Still not an "on-screen" death, so we'll see
Minor nitpick: it's probably "Zar Ojanen, Daughter of Efrava". Scion is usually used when it's less specific (as in not a named character) or referring to multiple individuals (like the royal scions) and would be translated to "Spross" or "Nachkomme".

Well, it doesn't. From the mechanics article the roles have the following effects:

Still not a fan of the border, but at least this one is legible

The smooth skinned, furless human body with that cat head looks really off to me
