This is a weaker and non MDFC Valakut awakening basicly and I like it you could also say it’s a mono red Ancient Excavation but the reverse order.
"Each card you've discarded this turn" is quite relevant. This will not be played to replace your hand, but (if at all) as a refill for madness or other discard-heavy decks.
Interesting that Savior of Ollenbock doesn't use the "exile until" template, but an Oblivion Ring-like seperate leaves the battlefield trigger.
I guess the hoops that come with training allow for perma-exile by flickering shenanigans.
[...] many people have spent their hard earned money and time to build decks around this card. Being the most important card in decks that use it as a commander, it is unfair to ban it. In some cases, the banning of this card may even result in making a deck virtually useless. [...]
I absolutely don't follow that reasoning. Golos is the essence of 5 color goodstuff and pretty much the opposite of a build-around commander.
Sure, it's probably not viable to simply make a 1:1 swap to Jodah or a similar replacement, since you now have to actually run some amount of ramp/color fixing in the deck, but that should be solvable and imo brings back an essential part of deckbuilding that was just circumvented by simply tacking it onto your value engine...
The existence of an "official" banned list for the format is what produces this issue of having only 1 list.
If they realized that, they could certainly have 2 lists, with both directions in mind and thats not even complicated or much work, its just that you have to do it, or you dont and people will rightfully forever critique that problem.
Or, if it's not even complicated or much work, the cEDH people could just create that second list themselves instead of complaining forever?
Why would it be on the RC to create a second banlist for the people that play their decidedly casual format in an unintended way? Don't get me wrong, everyone absolutely can and should play the game the way they like, but if that warps a format so much that the original rules and restrictions don't fit it anymore, that's on you.
Will still be super strong in standard, as the "mythics" are basically designed to work together (which surprisingly cost 2 and less the multikicker mythics), which is disgusting to do that intentionally.
Meh, if this was specifically designed to work with the adversaries, it wouldn't cost 5 - Dauntless Avenger (at uncommon) combos far better with those.
Zabimaru... ehh Fiendlash could make a nice win con for Marath - just throw it onto something big and ping away (but remember to remove his Basilisk Collar first )
Personally I'm not a big fan of magic cards that don't really look like magic cards, but they are nice for those that like them.
But screwing up the general formatting really bothers me - especially that preordain messing with the mana cost. I guess the drop on the forehead is supposed to display the cost, but it absolutely doesn't work for me...
I kinda like that use of hybrid mana - very easy to cast in an appropriate dual color deck, but you can`t just put it in any deck that runs either color.

Upon looking through the cards Jason Felix has illustrated, I noticed that his style is strangely all over the place though. Maybe it's bias because of this case, but I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out that he "fudged" his stuff in one way or the other before.
Now THAT is an interesting take.
Looking at his stuff youre right, it isnt a consistent style. This case does cast doubt on all his other works.
Too bad happenstance is the only real way to discover more incidences of plagiarism here, if there are any.
That is at least worth looking into - especially since it seems weird for an established artist, to suddenly risk his reputation like that...
Anyway, not much wizards could have (reasonably) done to outright prevent this imo and their response seems appropriate

Anyway, this triggering on etb and not casting creature/enchantment spells makes it very interesting for token strategies.
Also, I really like the flavor of disturb.
I'd say, so far the set looks quite promising

In both formats, we don't even need a second color to make it work
"Inkcaster" seems very Silverquill flavorwise though
Well, we agree on that part...
... on this, not so much.
