No matter how smart and compelling your post/ article seems to you, it is not going to change hearts and minds. None of us had ever heard of either of these two people before this nonsense: it is just an excuse to rehash a bigger issue that will never be resolved by making posts and counter-posts on message boards. (Yes, I know saying that here is hypocritical.) -

How is it this kind of card always follows this pattern? It seems investors would have destroyed that easy plunder by over-exploiting it.Posted in: Articles
Not that I mind. I'm happy when cards are cheap, and easily available. Order now for your casual fun purposes, or you'll end up paying way more for the same card. In the mean time, almost every other card in the set will tank in value. Business as usual. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.
I do love a card that has stood the test of time while never sailing over 1$ in value.
Saddle looks a whole lot like Enlist to me: that is to say a mechanic unlikely to be used much. Tapping down your creatures during your turn to NOT attack is a hard sell.
I'd like to see them throw ten of them into the List every set.
But it doesn't say "as if it had flash". Does this somehow get around timing restrictions? I don't get how this thing isn't limited to ONLY flash permanents at that point. Ragavan says "until end of turn you may cast it". Tinybones just lets you cast as you connect.
I'm looking forward to the style of the showcase art. Quite delightful. I'm a fan of Mistuhiro Arita, and I'll be happy to see what they got out of him (not crazy about the scary bear).
I love the idea of the seasonal art lands, but I really wish they changed the gesture of the figure each time so it felt like time was actually passing. As is, it feels like a theoretical idea of what seasons are like, rather than this individual's experience of their territory throughout a year.
"Enters the battlefield" becomes "enters". Good. Finally. I've disliked that wording ever since they changed it from "comes into play". An easy-to-grok one-word solution is nice.
There are some commons and uncommons that are further pushed than previous versions, like Hard-Hitting Question, Escape Tunnel, Pick Your Poison, and Demand Answers.
But all in all, there's not much here for anyone unless you have a full-on Ravnica cube.
I was surprised to see Delney, Streetwise Lookout miss the top 20 on such an underwhelming set. Looks pretty fun, but people are trying to hype it as a chase card, so I'm not getting one.
And I'll grab the surveil lands after they get super cheap.
I think Final-Word Phantom is my favorite new card. Looks very fair and very fun. As always, I'm not looking for the most powerful cards. Just the fun ones.
I think the sentiment is true: Atsushi, the Blazing Sky, Decadent Dragon, Leyline Tyrant, Moonveil Regent, and Thunderbreak Regent are all perfectly playable cards. Even Verix Bladewing and Everquill Phoenix are fine just because it's a good rate. But I don't think any of those is the obvious best, and this is simply one of many decent options.
I like some nonbasic land hate, but I gotta agree that this is pretty weak hate. You're basically turning their land into a Terramorphic Expanse and cracking it for them. That's not too big a deal unless you're literally about to die from an evasive man-land. Using it as a landfall enabler is pretty cool, and being an artifact can be an upside, so there are some niche reasons to play this.
I kinda prefer Obsidian Charmaw personally. But a five drop and a four drop are two different animals.
Starting 2/2"
Yes, you're right. This does start as a 2/2.
