I still don't get the mass desparking. What purpose does it serve?

RIGHT? It's as if they were saying "Hey, since we have Phyrexian Invasion part 2, why not Mending Part 2 too?" bunny Here's hoping that there is a much more better reason when the Aftermath stories concludes

Personal thought: I don't like the desparking for Koth. I feel like he was on the back burner with the phyreixa story and now hes free from that to do something else hes now seemly stuck on Zhalfir. I might soften on this if he and other de-sparked walkers are still doing stuff in the story and such but kinda of bummer imo.

Pretty much this, what a total blowback... I would've liked if Ajani got desparked too, there are so many suitable replacements for the White walker slot if ever (unless they too got desparked).

Scrub all this hate off if in the end of Aftermath if they find ways to get back some of the sparks for hopefully the newer walkers. Weird

congratulations elspeth you just desparked half the walkers in the multiverse

Still mad bitter that majority of the affected are somewhat newer Planeswalkers (as the leeks have shown us). How comfy that the Lorwyn 5 is pretty much intact (holding that out until The Brown Line tells us what happens to Jace... and Liliana).

I wonder how many stories we're gonna get for Aftermath... Weird

    OH!……OH!

i think we all missed it i just realized what may habe caused the events on spark rupture.

i think we forgot about elsepth bringing the sylux to the blind eternities what if the detonation in the blind eterieis causes certain walkers to lose their sparks.

This better be the explanation... I am mighty stung that even after all those Walkers who featured in the MOM stories and that didnt get phyrexianized did, after that they get desparked like that? NO SIR, NO MA'AM...

Silverlining is that Tyvar and Elspeth is sort of going the route of Godhood... so they can still be way powerful.

ps. Interesting name for Sigarda... so is it safe to say that we're gonna see more Fonts for those planes where the New Capennan angels went that had angels? I would like to see a Font for Dominaria, Alara, Kaladesh, and Xerex....

Speaking of Theros I'm a little confused why Ajani's mission on Theros was in any way related to Elspeth? Norn sent him there because she was afraid of Elspeth, but... What did turning Theros have to do with any of that?
    (Somehow.)

I too was miffed about how super lacking the Theros repped have been... for how Norn seemingly made it so important and shi. Here's hoping MOM: Aftermath stories talk about post-MOM Theros more. :/

Theros getting christanized was definitely the funniest part.

With Angels entering Theros... I wonder if their presence will give rise to something like that of an Angel God / New White aligned God that looks like an Angel (in a way, incidentally fulfilling what Serra was mistaken were for the longest of time)? Like, especially if Elspeth goes back there? :p

The good news teferi snagged a acorn from the realm breaker so wrenn will eventually be back groot style (groot sacrificed himself but rocket planted some of the remainment to bring him back)

So this dialled me back... if that acorn regrows... will it still retain Wrenn's past memories and her spark? (Or just the former?)

And thus Zhalfir is its own plane. Good, since Magic wanetd a West African speficific plane

Is Zhalfir that big enough to be its own setting? Like, has it become a planet configuration too now with the Mirrodin suns?
The way I read briefly of Zhalfir pre-MOM... its giving me vibes that its as expansive as Serra's Realm was at least.

Wow Confused ... NORN got betrayed and the other praetors were so way easily defeated. Weird

So in the end, there ain't gonna be a permanent link to the planes invaded by Realmbreaker? (ep. 9 saying that a lot of the Angels will be stuck to where they'll be going)

I know Melira, post what Wrenn did was useless already as character... but nobody really came to her aid and heal her at least from that wound? (Like, did any of the Capennan angels not go to New Phyrexia when they went to the portals?) She could've at least lived on Zhalfir and shi-- But oh well.

This ending didn't wove in that well for me, its like its way more rushed than WAR was. Are we getting stories for MOM: Aftermath? Weird

(Sort of congrats to the Gruulfriends fandom, the Forsaken novel is pretty much 180'd. The silverlining for me through this is that Tyvar, mah bébé, is still alive and will continue to CHAD for some more years~ *knocks on wood* )

Not only that, but the angels of New Capenna have been unleashed as a counter attack, bring halo with them.

And with a lot of these invaded Planes having angels with them, maybe they could do some sort of Harmonization with their "sisters and brothers" and spread Halo even more (maybe even +Elspeth?)... that would be a neato collabo... interplanar Angel network~! Yosha!

My Serra stanning heart with EPISODE 6.... I teared up my guy~! Crying All this time, Elspeth is now actually tied to Serran lore~

But this nudges me... where was this place that Elspeth was in? A dimension unlocked via the Sylex blast? Or was she in the Blind Eternities and was embraced by the essence of Serra there?

When I saw this I thought maybe Nashi would inherit Tamiyo spark or something if she died, but if the planes end up connected for non-walkers to travel I could see Nashi taking on Tamiyos role as a story mage and traveler with the saga creature of Tamiyo coming along.

Oh wow... way to weave that ending to something this hopeful. Frown I hope if that happens (e.g. the planes being linked in the end) he indeed does do that... and also, I hope most of their remaining family survives. Sick

Man... I am gutted with how Tamiyo got F-d :gonk:... but at least it was done by Wanderer + Kyodai. Frown And she at least now has that Saga-ish thingamajig for her family (if ever they survive this).

Tamiyo is making me hope that there are more of the compleated walkers that can sort of resist what happened to them (before possiblu succumbing)....

But man, seeing the HEAVY ravages already done with KALDHEIM (KOMA and TOSKI got turned?! OOP... ) and KAMIGAWA? My goodness... if they are really ending the New Phyrexians in MOM my curiosity has been pumped more on wanting to see how this will end.

Now I'm curious about the higher tier planeswalkers and beings remaining that haven't been mentioned in awhile.

Will Nahiri accidentally open Zendikar back up to Eldrazi?

LOL, if this ever happens and an Eldrazi gets Phyrexianized... I might actually throw the proverbial towel on the current arc... coz LIKE WOT?!

    --------------------

Other than that, I did not expect Wrenn's involvement in this. Might she actually be successful in convening with the World Tree (and might end up having a temporary host? Oooh, that would be SICK!)?

At this point, to me there's still no clear answer on how New Phyrexia would be defeated... so many factors hanging around. May it actually be a multi pronged approach after all? (e.g. Elspeth, Teferi, Wrenn + World Tree, Chandra...) My curiosity is nudging at me HARD!

I am incredibly intrigued how they're gonna apply Guff's skill set on a card... Gaping

And man... just a few more and someone could do a 9 Titans Commander deck~!
Come on Wizards... give Taysir his due! (Kristina and Daria too~!)

Well, it would be stupid to have a TIME WIZARD as the undoubted face of the set and not use it. I can still hardly believe that they would throw away the years of development of walkers who have "fallen" during the idiotic ill=fated attack (though it ironically mirrors the Nine Titans mission - with the exception that at least Urza was kinda successful).

True... but at this point, Time Travel to easily reverse this Invasion just feels BLAH in comparison than how the Phyrexian oil got more stronger (that at least has more backing). And is halo that powerful enough for Teferi to be able to do some Commodore-Guff changing level time spell? (unless Halo from a revived-Elspeth pretty much unlocks his Oldwalker level power or something)

I have a nudge that Teferi might indeed be a factor in the solution, but it's not just him acting solely alone and not the major source (e.g. Maybe slowing/quickening time for the re-engineered Halo to vanquish the Neo Phyrexians all over the Realmbreaker connected realms? Maybe helping a revived-Elspeth or something to reach out to the Realmbreaker connected planes?)...

Also, a lot of people are bringing up Zhalfir in the solution equation... I am personally not well versed in the lore of them, but are they THAT strong enough to turn the tides with a more souped up Phyrexia?
