Have they come out and addressed how multiple ability counters will stack moving forward?
It's mentioned in the linked article. For the time being, they don't stack if they're not stackable. To put it simply, adding two lifelife abilities (I refuse to call these counters) does not give you double the life nor does adding two flying abilities make it a high flyer. But for the purposes of their pushed garbage, if anything counts multiple stacked abilities then it likely counts them as appropriate.
Also in the draft boosters are these punch-out ability counters.
Called it. Personally, I think this is a bad move on WotC's part and we're going to either end up adding even more (unnecessary) errata in the future one way or the other after this set cycles out or changing a whole bunch of rules on the "non-stackable" abilities. In essence, WotC is literally contradicting themselves in the handling and naming of these "counters". Seriously, WotC could have literally gone with any other naming convention, mark, marker, stele, even souvenir. Literally anything else that doesn't imply that having multiple of these things can cause stacking ability.
I guess I must be reading it wrong. From how I interpret what he says, he doesn't actually say the ability is a former ability. Just that it's a former keyword with one letter removed and two added. In other words, The ability might be called "Standing" but actually have nothing to do with Banding.
Anyone's guess I suppose. I did see an "opening" on YouTube but in Germany. So I guess they have been shipped, will see if they have been distributed or not. Anyone got any info?
I'm not counting on seeing any this Friday. Either they won't put them out or they'll get completely sold out before I arrive.
I actually like Goblin Snowman because it's one of the first cards I was introduced to and Squire is from the very first set I managed to complete as a collector.
I like the art for three of them, not a big fan of the Squire art but eh... still a squire by definition I guess. I can guarantee that somewhere on the internet someone is going to, or already have, complain about what it's depicting.
Ignoring the date (duh), these might be fun to get at my LGS but I can imagine a lot of people peeved off if they get them as say... FNM prize or something.
Oops... I completely forgot about Ayra's ability. Depending on the order your opponent dropped the creatures, it would be very easy to gain back the three life they lost to your Borrower.
So I'm not changing my original assessment at all, they didn't cheat.
I implore you to read the cards using something like Scryfall.com or WotC's Gatherer.
Edit:
I also just realized why Season of Geowth is there and it's brilliant. Scryng away your lands after every creature let's them dig even deeper for that critical card. Never would've thought of that if I didn't see it.
This is why I said a video is needed. The game is already on T11 at a minimum and I have no idea what's in the graveyard or exile other than the top cards and the cat.. I can only extrapolate what happened based on what I see. Admittedly, I ignored the Brazen Borrower, however I still stand by my original assessment. Citadel hit the play field and your opponent ran with it. I'll bank that anyone else worth their salt will come up with the same assessment. This screenshot does not show a cheater.
They also had not used the sacrifice 10 permanents ability.
I feel that you might not quite understand how Citadel works. Let's take it piece by piece.
You may look at the top card of your library any time.
This part is crucial as it sets the player up to be able to use the next ability
You may play the top card of your library. If you cast a spell this way, pay life equal to its converted mana cost rather than pay its mana cost.
This part allows the player to effectively "top deck" and play any card from the top of their library in exchange for life. 1 life for 1cmc. Not much to figure out here.
, Sacrifice ten nonland permanents: Each opponent loses 10 life.
This part is actually irrelevant to what happened. More to the point, it's an optional thi g the player can choose to do. Since Citadel is not tapped in the image above, it is clear they have not yet activated the ability. Ergo, I had not brought it up.
which would knock off 14 life from his life total putting him at 8 assuming no other changes to his life total and since he dropped two Cauldron Familiars (I see one in the graveyad).
I'm willing to even bet that the lone untapped swamp was put there using Citadel's ability.
So no... it doesn't look like he's cheating....
edit: Removed the whole life gain/loss thing. It's largely irrelevant.
Not many, true, I just can't tell you by how much. Remember, a lot of these cards are getting sent off to be graded (with ZERO thanks to so-called investors and speculators) and taken out of circulation. So the difference between a mint card and anything less than mint can be significant. I found a completed eBay auction in (MP) better condition than yours for around $1,900 whereas a a supposedly* mint gradable one on eBay sold for $2,700. An $800 difference. I figure you can probably get over $1,000 but I can't say by how much. I don't deal with the high end market and that is a question better left to those people with a far higher disposable income.
My point is, a player will tend to offer less. But since the speculation and investing crow screws up the market, I can't tell you if they'll just ignore the card or snatch it up with the hopes that it will increase in value.
* I say supposedly because if it can be graded, it would have already been done. That is the market today.
For what that card would fetch (despite the damage) it would be in your interest to obtain a loupe or to borrow one. You can obtain an illuminated 40x type for around $11 on Amazon (I question if it's truly 40x at that price but for our purposes it works well enough). You don't need to get the pricier ones unless you want to make a business out of it.
What to do...
The light test is looking for the blue core and measures the "density" of the paper. IIRC Magic cards from the Alpha-Beta-Unlimited runs are very close in their light tests. I suggest comparing it to one of the cards from the other sets I mention keeping run variations in mind. Or find a el-cheapo Unlimited land. But seeing as how you're opting to sell the card, it stands to reason you're probably getting out of the game and have no desire to acquire other cards.
Since all* Magic Cards have a blue core, you can easily see this blue core edge on when viewing the card under a loupe. It'll be tricky due to the dirt and the edges likely being "soft" (paper fuzzies), but it can be viewable with practice.
Look for the Rosette patterns and color markers (there are tutorials out there). I can see what looks like a Rosette pattern in the photo but I can't put my faith in a photo for reasons....
What not to do...
Don't do the water test. It can only reveal some fakes, but doesn't prove a card is real. On a card this worn, the protective coating might be damaged and your water drop will just devalue the card anyways.
Don't do the bend test for the same reasons. Paper ages and wears out. Every bend test stresses the card and increases the possibility of a crease forming.
And since you're selling it....
Don't try to clean it in any way shape or form. It won't end well.
Don't try to touch up the back or edges. It doesn't work.
* there are exceptions but nothing from Unlimited.
It was announced back in August 2019 that an Apple version will come out "shortly".
It's been seven months so... no idea.
Behind the scenes, WotC developers probably goofed and implemented Windows-only features on the Unity engine so the cross compiler isn't working as it should. Or they might not have an Aple of recent vintage in-house. Or a multitude of other reasons. It could even be something stupendously stupid as Apples policy surrounding apps in the Apple store (I think if there are any microtransactions, Apple gets a cut?)
Ultimately, the core reason is there might not be a large enough Apple community to light a fire under WotC's butt to get it done.
If these are real, which I'm leaning that they are, this is just art with a secondary name on it and if people are going to feel that the art on a card doesn't make it a Magic card then I'm going to point you to the art of Grasp of the Hieromancer or Serpentine Spike with CG that even an early 2000s movie would be ashamed of. Now THAT art isn't MTG.
Feel free to point out what the IP is for those cards. There's a whole gaggle of cards that uses another IP.
Why would you preorder a product blindly if you are going to cancel the order over any minor thing?
Since you feel you need to be disrespectful by calling my "rant" childish, I see no reason to explain much of anything to you. You're smart, you can figure out how preorders work.

Standing...
Done....
So discard rule 709.2c so when it gets two "flying counters" on it makes it a high flyer, give it three counters and it's in outer space.
So I'm not changing my original assessment at all, they didn't cheat.

I'm guessing Bola's Citadel was cast first? Bolas Citadel has the following text (I bolded the relevant text):
That would explain the six tapped mana (including Leafkin Druid), once that was out you have the following:
Witch's Oven
Cauldron Familiar
Ayara, First of Locthwain
Season of Growth
Leyline Prowler
2x Wishclaw Talisman
which would knock off 14 life from his life total putting him at 8 assuming no other changes to his life total and since he dropped two Cauldron Familiars (I see one in the graveyad).
