I officially finished foiling out my Affinity deck today
Would love to see some pictures of the fully foiled deck--I'm currently trying to decide between pimping Affinity or Mono W Death and Taxes as my post-graduation "Holy crap I have a real job now" present to myself.
I'll have to upload some pics soon. I bet Death & Taxes looks sweet foiled out
I'm of the mindset that it's not as bad as everyone is saying it is. Affinity is a deck that has been around since modern has been a format because it's able to stand up to almost any deck. I believe our SB will evolve to the current meta and we are still a solid deck choice going forward Just my opinion though
I completely agree, the deck is by no means bad, it's been around since its inception. Heck, it has been so strong it nearly destroyed Standard back in its day. Affinity has any ways been good with changing for the current meta. As of right now, I do admit that I'm still struggling to piece together a sideboard to deal with many threats as of right now.
My largest question for you and honesty everyone else, what it the best way to deal with Stony Silence because it is usually game over for me when an opponent drops that on the board.

Congratulations! I am so close to foiling out my Affinity deck too! It has been a really long process so far, but all I need are foil Mirrodin Mox Opals and the Cranial Platings NOT in MM15. Hahaha. For the MAXIMUM amount of pimp for me. Honestly, Affinity looks just beautiful as foils.
Yeah I still need to do this but the hard stuff for me is out of the way I got the masterpiece Opals and I love them I kind of want the masterpiece Ornithopters and Darksteel Blinkmoths but they are both a bit pricey right now lol
Affinity is in a spot where it is as strong as it could be. The format is in flux as of right now. Two big unbans is huge they are finding decks where they are best in, unfortunately Jund is now the deck to beat... again. It is where it is a cycle of four decks types dominate Modern as follows:
Aggro
Strong against: Control & Combo
Weak against: Midrange
Combo
Strong against: Midrange
Weak against: Aggro & Control
Control
Strong against: Combo
Weak against: Aggro & Midrange
Midrange
Strong against: Aggro & Control
Weak against: Combo
It may be different from what I pointed out but that was my thought process. Nonetheless the less, Affinity right now is having a hard time competing with Modern synergy shaken up right now.
What does everything think?

Anyone think we should be running 1-2 Spellskite in the SB with there being so much Jund around like what we saw in the MTGO Championships (3 Jund decks in the top 8)?
Can someone help me on beating Skred Red? I know it's a tough match up. I have 2 players in my local meta that play the deck and it's getting difficult. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I've played against it once and I don't think you actually can beat Skred, outside of having 2 Darksteel Citadel and putting Cranial Plating on an Etched Champion. Literally every other card will die and the Cranial Plating will be part of a 4 meal course for Shattering Spree. Fun times!
Yeah that's what I feel like too lol I'm just gonna mulligan aggressively until I get an Etched Champion lol

It might be shameless self-promotion, but I have a hundred or so matches of Affinity up on Youtube if you'd like to take a look. I've heard other people find them useful, so you might too.
Anyone know of any recent articles for Affinity that I could read? I'm getting back into Affinity and wanted to read back up on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated
I've recently gotten back into Elves and was wondering what our matchups currently look like against the tier 1 and tier 2 decks? I'm mainly asking for the GW Version

Could you link me the reddit page? I can't seem to find it :/
Thanks!

I'll definitely take a look at it! I appreciate the help
