Its been a while since your last post but I'll take my chances anyway.
I'm trying to put together aa storm deck for the mtgo format after the massive unbanning that took place a month ago more or less.
However, I'm struggling a bit with deckbuilding and the fact that both top and doomsday are banned. I'm not sure whether future sight / gush / lab man ( currently I'm trying it out with dem consultation ) and nights whisper should go or not since there's no doomsday or top to combo with them. I've included the dramatic scepter combo as another wincon but I believe I might need a bit more gas if I'm losing those two wincons. How viable do you see the deck in that format?
I've all the cards except the twister, candle, seal and grim tutor by the way.
So far I've playstested a few rounds with a W/R deck with all 3 vehicles and a G/W deck with a splash for Pia and sparks, though the results are not very good so far ( I'm just learning the format )
I've thought about going for some G/R with a small splash for the aetherborn marauder, focusing on energy counters and fabricate counters, but I'm not sure on which line to take.
I'd be very grateful for any advice you might have towards this pool.
I'm just curious, but do you think something similar to a once effect sylvan library would see play in modern? Something like this:
Not so sylvan library 1G
Sorcery
At the beginning of your next draw step, you may draw two additional cards. If you do, choose two cards in your hand drawn this turn. For each of those cards, pay 4 life or put the card on top of your library.
Hi all, I'm quite a new legacy player and this summer a question popped up in my mind.
I watched some vintage cube streams and I couldn't help but notice how powerful tinker is.
However, after watching some different streams, I noticed that the most common plays with this card was to fetch some huge artifact creatures such as inkwell leviathan or sundering titan.
As a sneak&show player, can someone please explain how tinker is more broken than show&tell? It seems to me that it's a little bit slower ( it can't be cast of a lotus petal t1 for example ), and I feel that reanimator is faster and has a tool box of ( better? ) creatures as well. (Again, I'm not an experienced player, that's why I'm asking ). For what I've seen, even tin fins looks like a more degenerate combo deck. Plus, I feel that putting in play an omniscience / griselbrand / emrakul of a show and tell is a stronger play than putting any of the artifact fatties of a tinker, which by the way, you need an artifact first in the battlefield for it in order to work.
Besides, each time someone mentions cards that might be unbanned, somebody will rise the argument that "X card is safe to be unbanned, it isn't bonkers like tinker. I'm not advocating for any unban whatsoever, I'm just curious and would like to know the ideas of more experienced players.
Please note that I'm not looking for comments à la "show and tell is so unfun, we don't need any more dumb combos" whatsoever. Different people have different play styles and like different decks. Please accept that some people ( me included ) love combo decks. As a new player, I just want to understand what made ( or why is ) tinker such a degenerate card ( or more degenerate than show and tell, at least).
I'd like to know what are your experiences and thoughts on this card, as well as which kind of edh play style suits more this planes walker ( 1vs1 or multiplayer? )
I'm pretty new to the format, so thanks for your help
I wasn't around went the first conspiracy set came out, so I'm not sure how the prices will behave. I've seen that it has gone down from 12 to 8 euro.
According to your experience, did cards from the previous conspiracy sets keep dropping in price after the first drop? Would you wait to buy the cards you need?
I don't play any standard whatsoever, but I do need a copy of kozilek's return and languish for both my legacy and EDH decks. I'm wondering whether to buy them now or wait until they rotate out of standard. Since I don't have many experience with this, would you wait? Is it worth it waiting now the money I could save later?
Actually I'd like to sell them through MKM, so I can have the credit in the account and I can purchase the things I need as well. If you're interested, I'll upload the cards tomorrow afternoon ( Chinese time ) with the same username as I have here.
I won't be able to send them until Tuesday morning European time though ( I always upload the cards some days before going back, so I can send them all together as soon as I arrive )
I've been living in China with my wife since 2011, and I've come back to Mtg quite recently. Unfortunately, I moved to a smaller city in 2013 where the legacy (my favorite format ) community is very small, so I've been playing lately sealed product and drafting. Needless to say, all the product is in Chinese language.
However, as you know, almost all the product you might open in drafts or sealed leagues is almost useless in legacy or edh ( another format I like and I'm starting to play in ), so I've a ton of cards I'm not using.
Twice a year I go back to Spain ( my hometown ) and I buy cards for my collection. However, this time I plan to sell a lot of cards I do own but I don't need ( including two nahiri, the harbinguer four green sun's zenith, two sinkhole, etc ) two complete most of what I still need for my legacy deck and my edh deck. By the way, all the cards are mint/near mint, since I've only played once with them.
Since I'm going back next week, I'd like to know how the community members usually value their foreign language cards, for reference. I've seen some prices in MKM from other vendors, but most of them seem to be professional sellers, so I expect them to charge more than particular sellers would.

I'm thinking more on a "good stuff" deck rather than a reanimation one. I'm still testing my list, so any idea is welcome as well.
Thanks
I'm thinking of buying a Liliana, heretical healer as a budget substitute for liliana of the veil in my the gitrog monster. Besides, I've always thought this card could be a ton of fun to play with.
I'd like to know what are your experiences and thoughts on this card, as well as which kind of edh play style suits more this planes walker ( 1vs1 or multiplayer? )

I need an Inquisition of Kozilek for my edh deck.

Most of my stuff is from SOI and EMA, I didn't draft that intensively before that ( I have some stuff from khans / fate, but nothing special )
Actually I'd like to sell them through MKM, so I can have the credit in the account and I can purchase the things I need as well. If you're interested, I'll upload the cards tomorrow afternoon ( Chinese time ) with the same username as I have here.
