Agreed. I, too, will mourn the death of "Mana Burn". Guess it's time to dismantle my Magus of the Vineyard/ Mirrorweave deck. Not to mention all the cards that penalize untapped lands. "Oh! I take 2 damage for each untapped land? I'll just tap 'em then" The whole idea of getting rid of mana burn...it's just not right.
I thought about Rain of Tears for the deck, but then I remembered Rancid Earth. Cheap LD and, if you draw it later in the game, little creature kill and damage.
If they have more lands in their hand, that's lands they don't have in their deck. This makes Mind Funeral extremely effective. Hits more of their deck on average. That and if they have the lands in hand, they don't have creatures to play. They are also more apt to play the lands, which allows the use of pooling venom
That and I only have 2 head games in the deck. So, it's not a huge part of the deck
When I saw Mind Funeral, I couldn't help but build a deck around it. But I already had a mill deck, so I decided to focus on the land destruction aspect of it.
Edit: Small Combo Head Games played before Mind Funeral is pretty nasty, especially against a deck with a small mana base. Fill their hand with lands then mill their deck for 4 more lands.
The Deck has plenty of stall tactics with Propaganda and Overburden. Control with Price of Glory. The only thing that Price nullifies in the deck is Orcish Settlers.
Please, read the first post. That card has a Red Elemental Blast kind of feel.
However, that makes it incredibly easy to counter.

Right. The only thing Morsel and Sinking Feeling do together is untap and mana fix. Since the combo needs three cards (cmc 6, cmc 3, and whatever tap effect you want) the combo can be slow. The untap creatures, like Pili- Pala, come in handy because, while the don't do infinite, they only require one enchantment if any.
Shapesharer gives another "Elemental" to the deck with a fun copy ability to use on a pinger (Infinite or otherwise) or to copy an opponents card. Elemental Mastery, mass creatures
But yes, Viridian Longbow would be a good option for the current deck. Thanks
Basic Concept: Infinity Combo with Morselhorder and Sinking Feeling with any of the pinging enchantments.
I use Hateflayer for the same thing without Sinking Feeling with Smokebraider, who also accels my two bigs and their abilities.
The mana base is undecided. I don't have any vivids or other good multi-land so I was thinking 14 mountain 6 Island, but since Pili-Pala and Manamorphose mana fix, I'm not sure.
The Pingage combo can be used with any of the untappers. Pretty straight forward.

I nixed the Incendiary Command because they are 5cc and I wanted to speed the deck up a little. Plus, I feel it has enough creature control.
I added Bitter Ordeal with gravestorm activators like Ghost Quarter, Raze, and Smallpox. Orchish Settlers also works great.
The LD in the sideboard will be swapped with Poison the Well based on what deck it's playing against (Artifact or Creature).
Cost effective? ...
