Chandra is a much better choice to be "the face" than Jace. He's always written as being so awkward and unconfident where as Chandra is more dynamic without such hesistation.
Would have been great as an instant to try to get back something you desperately need in a multiplayer game. If I'm gonna play a X bomb spell, rather just use Genesis wave.
Even at with 1 time counter that’s basically a come into play tapped scenario, quite a bit worse than original moxen yet very playable. The real question is, can the usual trash red mythic be worse than this?
I guess we are reaching a point where you can only print so many 0 cost artifacts that produce 1 mana of any color. This might as well read “When you draw this card, reveal it to your opponents and then exile it”. Since I doubt in 3 turns it’ll still be relevant.
I hate to be *that* guy but I think I would still run Tooth and Nail over this.
I don't think I will. For the entwine cost this new spell will get you 2 creatures from GY or library of 7 or less CMC. Granted, you lose the ability to play creatures already in your hand but you gain a lot of flexibility by being able to pay 5 and get 2 utility creatures as well.
Might even run both.
Am I missing something? The card says search in two zones for a total of 1 creature. Granted, you do get to search your graveyard, but I don't think that's enough to offset the loss of the second creature.
Hm you're right. I was reading it as a creature from each zone.

....I'll have a couple for EDH fun times, X 10 it and tutor olde Craterhoof and your tokens get his boost and another +10 to boot.
Might as well get craterhoof and god-eternal rhonas. +10/+10, +x/+x = equal to # of creatures, and then double the power of everything? On top of that everything gets haste, trample and vigilance. With just 3 1/1 creatures on the board when cast you're looking at 3x 32/32s and 2 40/40s.
Choose four. You may choose the same mode more than once.
*Create a Citizen creature token 2/2 that's all colors.
*Return a permanent card from your graveyard to your hand.
*Proliferate.
*Gain 4 life.
Because this creates a 5 color token can this be played in atraxa edh? I cant really find anything in the rules addressing this situation.
Yes, color restrictions are based on Mana symbols not the actual color. Just like mono white can create black zombies if they had a card they did so. Also, an effect of a card is quite different from the color identity of the card itself.
whats that artwork ? was the timeline to thin to draw a propper backround ? i mean we had relativly simple like 20 years ago and i liked them more (they were more iconic and felt better with the old frame), but on the first glance this kind of looks like the artwork from the winner of a amateur drawing contest. (maybe there was something like a fan constest ?)
regarding the card itseld. the card is just to similar to other cards that already exist. so yeah, guess its ok.
A majority of this set seems to be an exercise on how to save money on artwork. Seems strange since this is basically Avengers Endgame for MTG...
No, it's really not.
Back in the day red had a ton of cantrip card draw. My Zada deck draws dozens of cards.

Unless you're both the attacker and the defender then there isn't anything to worry about.
