So we had a strange game last night. A Vesuvan Doppelganger had been played copying another Vesuvan Doppelganger which would give it 2 triggers on the players next upkeep. On the next upkeep with his first trigger he turned the Vesuvan Doppelganger into a Preacher. Then before he resolved the other trigger he tapped his Preacher to take control of an opponents creature. Then when he had the creature he resolved the other Vesuvan Doppelganger trigger and became a copy of another creature on the battlefield. So when his next turn comes around and he untaps, will he loose control of the creature he took when his Vesuvan Doppelganger was a Preacher
I wrote a dumb command line program that generated a card for each turn a long while ago, want me to try to dig it up?
Update:
Huge disappointment, I found the program but the datafiles are absent, you could write your own datafiles using a format I made up, and use my program as a randomizer, if you want. Let me know and I'll post it. In this way you wouldn't be limited to 6 cards.
Thanks for the offer but I am working on one right now that works with card proxies. Also we are mixing our custom effects in with normal cards so we will have like 60 effects.
I played this in a game of 7 people. We gave up after 2 hours ;oP
In fact, I love the chaos so much I did a dexk with this enchantment and Norin the Wary !!!
Confusion in the Ranks is funny but would stretch the game to long. I love Gate to the Aether because it ups the fun value of the game for everyone.
One idea I had was "Each player looks at the hand of the player to their left and may put a land, enchantment, creature, or artifact from it into play under their control." which is similar to Gate to the Aether.
My playgroup mostly plays multiplayer each week and this week we are going to have a stack of global effects that will have one go off after each round of turns. We are all going to submit 5 ideas of our own (not a card, but anything we can think of) and would love to hear some fun ideas from you guys.
Just curious if you have a mimic vat and Gideon in play. Next turn Gideon into a creature then he dies. Can you imprint him onto the mimic vat?
I think you can but I was just making sure that I was correct on this.
You need card tags in future posts. Read the Forum Guidelines. -Carsten
