Does anyone have any idea what a foil Japanese Jace the Mindsculptor is worth? The last one I check on Ebay was listed at $3200 I think, but the ended auctions were around 1400.

Its Strategy Products for sure. And the names are correct. Rick is the boss if thats who you need to talk to, but everyone there is easy to work with.

I preordered a case for $500. I told my LGS I wanted a case when M13 was released. I know the price has been raised since I preorded, but I'm not sure to what. I will probably let the store know soon that I want a case of Gatecrash soon too. I knew I was getting a good price to begin with, but I didn't realize it would be this good because of most places raising their prices so high so fast.

I know for a fact that Matt (S&C buyer) does in fact like to play games. Frank and Sons used to be a great place to pack war when the new sets come out, so much so the dealers would go through multiple cases during the course of the day on pack wars.

The coin flip is something the sheets have done for the length of the series so its no suprise to see that Matt was ok to do so. Having sold him many cards I know there is always wiggle room for high dollar cards. Most people will negotiate, instead they used a coin flip. I think the flip was for $600 or $700, and Sheets won the $700, but I could be mistaken.

I have been waiting for this episode since the guys at Shuffle and Cut told me about it weeks ago. We all agreed it was a plant. This is not the first episode that Frank and Sons has been in either. Earlier this season Barry took something (old movie collectibles) to be appraised there.

Wether a plant or not at least Shuffle and Cut got some free press.

Shiny Sealed is the event Sunmesa ran at GP:LA a few months ago. It was AVR sealed with a snake draft of foils from the listed sets as prizes. I played, and it was a fun event but the draft(of the foils) took like 4 hours. It was unorganized, and they had to cut rounds from the event because they didn't plan for the number of people who played. If you like standing in line for a few hours to pick your prizes then you should go for it.

Basing damage on weapon was the weirdest thing ever and the reasoning for it (make things fair between melee/range) really failed.

I found out about the invincible wizard trick yesterday, and they patched it half a hour later, just as I reached Diablo on Inferno.

I am still farming act 1 because act 2 it too hard. I had 2 friends waiting for me to get off of work so we could kill Diablo and we didn't make it. I don't mind how hard it is because I like playing the game, but it can be very annoying to find mobs I have to run from.

Yeah, I've been farming Act 1 Inferno for a while and most of the drops are pretty bad. I just found an amulet with 40% magic find so maybe I can start to see some better items now. But i'm skeptical.

I'm fairly certain I have watched them all. I agree this season has been better, but things like little Boba running his own crew of hounty hunters just rubs me the wrong way. I enjoy the show, I just find thats some things seem like too much of a stretch.

We could be best friends based on this statement alone. As far as the games are concerned, I think any that have had a novelization or are mentioned elsewhere are considered EU canon. For Dark Forces, since they have two books based on the protagonist from Jedi Academy (the last game in the series), I'm going to assume all games in that series are canon (light side ending). KOTOR is canon. The Force Unleased is canon. Most of the other games are too, except where they contradict established canon (like Rebel Assault's Death Star trench run).

I know, and maybe its because the games they incorporate were so good, I give them a pass. I still find myself thinking I should buy an N64 just to play Rouge Sqadron. Though I think you are right in thinking that any game paired with a novel is cannon. Part of why I think the Force Unleashed storyline is a joke. The game was fun, but the story.... ugh.

Like I said, I would give Clone Wars another shot. It has gotten much, much better over time. The first season was hit or miss, the second less so, and the last two seasons were mostly great. Just skip any episodes that feature or star Jar Jar (which they stopped doing after season 1). Plus, the episodes are only 20 minutes, so you can watch the seasons pretty quickly. The show is really at it's best when the focus is off the main characters.

This is funny thing, is that Jar Jar doesn't bother me like he does most. I can see why people think he so bad, but whether I have accepted it, or was too excited when I saw EP1 I don't find him intolerable.

I appreciate that. I'm the only one in my group of friends that is really passionate about reading. The rest are either really slow readers or haven't read a complete book without pictures since high school. They are amused by the fact that I've read 90% of the star wars section of the book store, but it's nice to talk about it with other people who like these too.

They only books I read are Star Wars. I have tried others and these are all that really keep me hooked. I read them because I love Star Wars and a few bad stories are not going to turn me away now.

I understand The Clone Wars are cannon. That doesn't mean I have to like it. The video games are a stretch, and I played the crap out of the Dark Forces games. Expanding on Kyle Katarn was a great idea. Using the Clone Wars to promote their books is a great idea, but pushing cannon onto the Clone Wars is the most annoying to happen to Star Wars since Episode 1 (IMHO).

BTW your review of all the books was great, and even though I have re-read most of them multiple times, I liked seeing someone elses opinion.

I just really want to vent after reading the last book in the Fate of the Jedi series.
I really like reading almost any Star Wars book, regardless of how bad it it (I am a fan of the Jedi Academy Trilogy) but I wanted to burn my Fate of the Jedi and the conclusion of the series. Why?!?!? Leave the Clone Wars cartoon where it should be, with the rest of the young adult fiction like the Junior Jedi Knight series. (Which I never read BTW)

I keep a stack of the channelfireball tokens with my cube to use for all my token needs. I have LSV and Conley right now and hope to pick up some others an GP LA. I considered getting all the actual token but I would keep them seperated after use and would be very time consuming to do so. I've been very happy with the tokens i'm using.

I spilt with a guy playing U/G ramp in the finals, after sneaking into the TOP 8 with a 3-2 record. In the TOP 8 i beat Frites and mono green. I know there was a tempered steel and U/B control deck also in top 8. I was playing almost the exact list Finkle played at the PT. I lost in rounds to U/B control and Frites.
