While the concept of alpha and beta males has been used to describe the intergroup dynamics one can observe in certain groups and could refer to a theoretical personality type you appear to have turned them into effectively seperate species, umm weird. This sounds like PUA/Game nonsense.
And, on the other hand, there are important technologies which were developed in Africa before being developed in Europe. Your claim from earlier seems to fly in the face of history:
Cool, what technologies?
My statement about it not improving meant in comparison to Europe since the worldview I was criticizing was based on the hollow argument that all of Africa's problems are the result of colonialism. My own review of Africa's history shows empires, wars, slavery, famine, etc. all predating the arrival of Europeans and if they had not shown up I do not see why those problems would have simply gone away on there own. An end to war, slavery, and famine is not something that simply happens. It is not a given.
Batterysrevenge-Aggrieved entitlement much like male privilege will no doubt be used to dismiss countless injustices against men (in the same fact free fashion) and seems cut from the same cloth. I read the book but clearly the two of us are going to interpret these things differently. Telling men who have been discriminated against to take responsibility is just victim blaming not to mention in the incredibly dishonest fashion Kimmel conducts himself and how feminists misrepresent the issue of father's/men rights it conflates fatherlessness=fathers abandoning their families. Which when you take into account how stacked the family court system is against men and how one study found 1/3 of women in divorce cases stated they intentionally seek to deny their exes visitation out of spite, or how a women with 82 orders to let a father see his child receives zero punishment and is considered typical by the family courts due to feminist advocacy this conflation is especially disgusting. Theres a photo that really sells how sad the modern day black man being told to take responsibility is. It's an early feminist giving a speech about how if you want to destroy the black man you empower the black women with generous welfare programs that make him obsolete. In the photo two rows of clansmen in their hoods stand listening. The black family endured ironically slavery and segregation but couldn't survive feminism. The explosion of single motherhood came during the rise of the welfare state after the civil right movement.
I think the USA as a whole is inhenrently racist.... If you listern to the news or election coverage... they go on and on about appealing to africain americians or Latino's or how many voted which way etc... Why are there even graphs breaking things down by race? That just doesn't happen anywhere else.. We don't keep track of race in exit polls it only matters what party you voted for.
This is due to how liberals (who control the vast majority of the media) frame issues, they make it about race when it really doesn't need to be to both smear republicans and encourage minorities to view the democrats as their party (even though republicans have more women and ethnic minorities in leadership positions ironically and democrats have consistantly sold out minorities to the likes of teachers unions etc.)
However we are so awful to our aboriginal peoples so its not like we are clean, but at least we are a little ashamed of it.
A whole religion has evolved around white guilt in the US quite frankly.
True, I would add that there are a lot of technologies that Europeans had been developing before Africans. I suspect that Africas and Europes different climates played a role in their technological development.
Yes true, they originated in Asia. From what I can find Middle eastern invaders brought the guns with them and basically conquered some areas of northern Africa. The slave trade involved exchanging guns for slaves and raiders used them when attacking villages. The Europeans supplied many of these weapons and were the ones advancing the technology by the time the majority of Non-Arab Africans were getting them.
Environment played a huge part in Africa's military development and conquest (In that I believe it would have occured much sooner otherwise). Tetse flies made cavalry nearly impossible for most of inner Africa and the variety of diseases endemic to the region made an invasion difficult for foreign powers. The soil didn't support wheat and grains that feed many conquering armies at the time. It reminds me of how invading forces had more to fear from Russia's inhospitable conditions then from its army.
I have been reading and it seems to contradict your assessment. For example Europeans were able to conquer huge swaths of Africa in the 1890s because they had developed machine guns, ships (capable of traveling great distances), and quinine. Sure that only represents three areas of technological development but the cultures they encountered most advanced home grown weaponry was the short spear and their answer to malaria was being SOL. Perhaps you could name some books to support your claims that I could read, not that attempting to be pithy isn't cool too.
Magickware-I never said that they were savages, projection perhaps.
Technology-the branch of knowledge that deals with applied science, engineering, the industrial arts, etc.
I would be interested to know how the cultures of Europe in the last 500 years could be viewed as not having surpassed the cultures of Africa in this regard.
I don't have the book in front of me... nor will I. The part about fathers groups is in the section called angry white dads I believe, that much I remember.
Angry or Mad are used to dismiss men's viewpoints by sexists much the same way hysterical or emotional is often used by sexists to dismiss women's viewpoints. Angry White Men is both sexist and racist and often thrown about by the professional victims that claim to care about those things. Funny, just a random thought.
Spanish kingdoms in the north of Iberia (Asturias, Galicia, Castille, Navarra, Barcelona, etc.) were not conquered. The modern Spanish state is a descendant of those kingdoms, not a resurgent conquered populace.
OK, but that doesn't change anything in the core debate nor does it add substance to the theories I was criticising.
Michael Kimmel is a sociologist that discusses the future of white males in a globalized world and one where an additional 50% of the population enters the workforce. The book "When Affirmative Action was White" has implications about if affirmative action is still white--especially for white females.
Michael Kimmel is a snake oil salesman and a perfect example of what I'm talking about. I read his "Angry White Men" book which was clearly written for the true believers and marveled at how fallacious his arguments were.
I especially enjoyed his argument concerning discrimination in which he states that a male and or a white person cannot be discriminated against because thats what males and/or white people do to others cuz ya know history. If a law was passed banning white males from voting it could not be discriminating against white males it would just be disadvantageous to them but not an injustice cuz ya know privilege.
His argument that groups fighting for father's rights would do better by telling their distraught members to hate men cuz men dont spend enough time with their kids embodies what garbage feminism (and identity politics in general) is. Oh and it's down right sociopathic.
I also enjoyed the way even other liberals tore into him for his constant factual and historical falsehoods. I enjoyed the comment "What Mr. Kimmel needs is an angry editor to tell him to go back and try again". His work is crap and his views ideologically driven to the point of being pure fantasy but because it panders to the likes of well "you" quite frankly he has prestige and is considered an expert.
Perhaps because you are taking that comment out of context?
Your example is great! Arabs conquered Spain yet the Spanish went on to become the worlds most powerful empire (for a while). The constant blaming of all the world's problems on white people and associated theories that are omnipresent in these "discussions" on race are hollow.
Not all of Africa was "so far behind". Countries like Aksum, Kanem, Great Zimbabwe, Mali, Songhai, etc. were legitimate national entities, not completely backwards tribesmen. Certainly Africa was behind, say, Renaissance Europe, but I think it would be a pretty big error to paint Africa a millennium ago as being uniquely and vastly behind the rest of the world.
Cool, I agree that viewing all of Africa as "so far behind" the rest of the world would be unfair but it was behind Europe in technological development right? That's actually pretty important that technology in increasing people's quality of life, life expectancy, etc.
Also my point wasn't to single out Africa as uniquely backwards just to point out that technological and cultural development is neither a given, guaranteed, or constant.
History has always been a slow march of progress. Why would Africa have been the one part of the world to never improve?
What does "progress" even mean in this context? Why was Africa so far behind to begin with? Most liberals seem to assume technological and cultural development is just a given.

So why was Africa behind Europe then?
Jewish people are doing quite well with the median income being higher then most other Europeans. Have Jewish people been privileged this whole time?
Umm, I provided a source and you can certainly do more research on it yourself.
