    Theros features no angels… fail

One could reason that the wings are actuall an enchantment on an ordinary human.

I'm inclined to believe that this is the case (despite obviously being very evocative of an angel). You'll note that there doesn't appear to be any stars/nyx effect anywhere on her body, only the wings.

I am not happy. Not happy at all. All of my excitement for this set is gone lol. I may be overexaggerating but I was legit excited about this set and then it all went to zero in the last two card previewed. Ugghh lets just go to new phyrexia and get this horse dung over with.
I'm in the same boat. I've wanted a return to Kamigawa for years, but Tamiyo was one of my favorite characters and I've honestly *never* really liked the phyrexians (they're just sci-fi zombies; zombies themselves being ridiculously overplayed and tired at this point), so losing her TO them just puts me off super hard.

Seriously, my enthusiasm for the set has completely tanked.

    Oh oh

    I solved this one

one of Tamiyo’s children gets a legendary creature card

answer comes from ajani's flash back

    https://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/magic-story/release-2016-10-05

“Nashi” a nezumi Tamiyo adopted after her home village was destroyed by none other than tezzeret. This also includes Rumiyo and hiroku
Yeah, the Tezzeret connection is what cements Nashi's place in the set. Question now is if his mother (and maybe father?) would be in the set.
Honestly, if Tamiyo's NOT in this set, WTH is Wizards even doing?

Limited number of planeswalker slots per set and Kaito, Wanderer and Tezzeret being more story important and the fact Tamiyo is a planeswalker who can in theory appear in any set.

That said while Tezzeret is plot important and as it looks like this set has a artifact theme going so Tezzeret as a card would fit well, nothing yet has locked him in over Tamiyo. At the moment he could be off plane and we end the story with Kaito seeking to find him.

And there is always the possibility they have 4 walkers card in the set as well.
I don't think Tezzeret will get a card in NEO. He's being set up as a multi-planar BBEG, I think it's too soon in the plot for him to make an appearance on a card.

Despite being ten years apart, and multiple planes visited, Kaito doesn't seem to have grown up at all, or develop a more holistic wisdom on how system works.

And imagine, an imperial palace where climbing the walls can lead you to the god-leader's chamber, unhindered.
Also, the author noted several times that Imperial guards never watch to rooftops... despite seemingly anyone being able to get their hands on drone technology... oh yeah, and having AN ENTIRE SPECIES NATIVE TO THE PLANE THAT CAN INNATELY FLY. Just, huh?

So, after reading Kaito's story, and presuming that the emperor and the Wanderer are the same person, and with the hints dropping about the Emperor having a special bond with Kyodai and Kamigawa itself, we can almost safely assume who the Emperor/Wanderer is.

    Michiko Konda, Truth Seeker

More precisely, what became of her.
That's 100% my takeaway from this story. That Tezzeret's meddling on the plane has somehow ?separated? Michiko and Kyodai from each other and triggered Michiko's uncontrollable planeswalking...? Was it deliberate? To what end? To weaken the planes' defenses? So many questions.

It’s looking grim for Olivia in that story

katilda pops out of the key frees Sigarda and sorin realizing he never needed to make avacyn and Sigarda was all that he needed to protect the humans so the vampires don't starve

I’m starting to speculate sorin made avacyn before the great mending Aka while he had a god spark
    We... know that he did?

Sorin made Avacyn around a thousand years ago, the mending was something like 60-70 years ago.

Yup. First thing I thought when I saw it was "So this is basically just 'U: Counter target commander spell.'"

    black that deal damage???
Black has a long history of dealing damage to creatures. Drain is primary in the color, and you can't exactly make creatures lose life instead. Black dealing damage (instead of life loss) *to players* was the template they recently tried out and decided against because it felt too similar to Red, I guess.

first off yeeaa I smell a Oath of Alrinn coming she literally called all 3 friends and all of them are gate watch members she even tried to go 4 with jace

second hard to tell if this happend before or after zendikar rising
I kinda get the feeling that it's happening concurrently with Zendicar Rising, hence why Jace is gone.

"Arlinn has the feeling Chandra would help with whatever it was Adeline asked of her, but they can't let their eyes stray too far from their goal here."

    Are they implying it again?
    Certainly seem to be, yeah.

Now, does that Story Spotlight indicate that the Dawnheart Coven succeeded or failed at the Celestus...that twilight doesn't look good, though....
My guess is that this comes before the werewolf attack and Defend the Celestus. It's sunSET bash, so is probably a festivity that proceeds the ritual to activate the device, whereas if it were after the activation I'd think it would be called sunRISE bash.

Now let me bring in the tin foil crackpot theory

her ability is worded like 5 particular villains

Rumor was one of them was intended for eldraine

    where I’m going for this

She’s worded like the phyrexian praetors

sheoldred resurrected her if she was infact killed perhaps and liesa is who they are after in innistrad

(But really it’s most likely sorin has something to with this sigarda and him are fighting and probably involves that key/the celestus of how she came back.)
Original Gisela's ability was also worded as such. Double damage for opponents, half damage for you. I don't think that it's particularly indicative of anything greater.

    • Creature – Human Soldier Werewolf

This is not new. Every 'normal' Werewolf from Innistrad (excluding Emrakul's corruptions from Eldritch Moon) is a Human Werewolf on front face (sometimes with a third type too) and just Werewolf on back face. However, "Soldier" would make me think that perhaps it's a white Werewolf. Most Soldiers are white.
It would be fitting, IMO, for Arlinn to have organized a werewolf army to help defend humans from the other monster types, perhaps in exchange for lenience towards other werewolves.

She was an Archmage of Goldnight, I could see her going Naya and leading a sort of W/R/G "Pack Goldnight."

There were also still a few Wolfir left that could be involved.

I'll amend: every non-spirit is dead.

If it's 10,000 then to them the Kami war was almost as far back as the invention of agriculture is to us. Eiganjo Castle could be there Gobekli Tepe.

Funny thing is, i'm willingly to bet with everyone that kami are going to be "dead" and won't return. Kami were too weird obscure for the western public and were badly received. They were also a parasitic mess mechanically. Also they don't mesh at all with the cyberpunk theme. So i think they won't be there.

I know it’s it’s possible but your definatly gonna lose the bet

“shadowrun” and “ghost in a shell” literally prove kami spirits can be in cyberpunk worlds

Second there’s gonna be people who do/did like them (even western) and pretty much thee place to make the spirit tribal legend everyone has been asking for.

Additionally we already KNOW that the kami still exist. The Sisters of Flesh and Spirit and the Myojin of Night's Reach were seen in the Future Sight novel (About 60 years before current day in world), and Tamiyo was still offering prayers to the kami in the most recent Innistrad set.

The restrictions on his first +1 are so arbitrary and unnecessary. It makes the entire card feel ridiculously clunky.
