I've been thinking about a slightly more combo oriented list with traverse the ulvenwald and a hatebear package. Would really like a bit of feedback/opinions. Thanks in advance!
I have been toying with a bant tempo ish version with some countermagic and the knightfall combo as a wincon. Seems vulnerable to abrupt decay... but also it seems like it could play a midrangey game with gavony township. Thoughts?
Also, I've been thinking about Neheb as a budget Lili considering it probably takes out at least one creature in combat (due to first strike) and potentially causes a bit of discard.
I have to agree, Especially if your wanting to stay in the same color schemes. Ugin and Karn I believe are the only colorless Planeswalkers . Maybe a play set of Oblivion Stone or even Mindslaver.
They are indeed the only colorless walkers. All Is Dust does a really good Ugin impression but isn't too cheap either. Winnower and Hellkite can do work, but they don't replace Karn, they just change how the deck plays. There is no budget replacement for Karn because what he does is so unique (7-mana unconditional exile that leaves behind a must-answer threat).
All is dust does do a good ugin but like you said not with huge savings.
I would maybe start looking at new emrakul considering the relatively low price tag and powerful effect+(massive) body
I am currently on a Nahiri build with two pack rat as an alternate win condition (in case I run into one of the couple decks that Nahiri just dies to) and honestly, this guy has worked AMAZINGLY for me. He is completely resistant to any removal short of MPulse and has the ability to turn any late game draw (no matter how bad) into straight gas. Rat has taken over games singlehandedly more than once and I highly recommend more extensive testing of this card as a late game wincon for any version of the deck. (less so for the DS versions as by then u have probably lost)
I was wondering specifically about the nahiri version of the deck because he said what can bolt kill that push can't? And my response was "your opponent's life total" and he said it didn't matter in the nahiri version. Anyway, thanks again in advance from a less seasoned mardu player!
Please help me out here. I have a good friend who is objectively saying that push is better than bolt in this deck. I am trying to convince him but at this point I need some assistance convincing him (and myself a bit) that 4 bolt is still correct. Thanks in advance!
So far I've been playing a Jund version of this deck with some aspects of mono black Aggro and the extra delve creatures have actually been huge so... maybe consider? I don't know
