It does die to lava coil, which is good, I would have been a lot more scared if he had 5 or more toughness (which seemed to be the tradition for 4 drop demons)
I'm confused by the combination of abilities on this card. Like separately yeah, both are good and seem needed, but together on 1 card...as an artifact?...it reads as a, hey we needed to print answers to things in other formats here you go.
yeah, I think I like this card, just not sure where it fits. Rx aggro maybe? you can kind of "go-off" with Scrapheap Scrounger (assuming you put other creatures in your graveyard as well).
I'd say this is middle of the pack, Dominaria was filled with garbage rares. Though in the limited set, it could be common and not overly powerful (since there are so few colorless creatures to exile). The fact that, Ceremonious Rejection sees play (yes it hits more things on the way down) means there's a slot for this somewhere.
Keep in mind, you (the caster of the spell) gains the life points, which is relevant.
WoTC has been pretty adamant that we will never get another Path to Exile any 1 drop remove that is going to have stipulations, see Fatal Push.
I've been mostly underwhelmed, but I do think this one smacks you in the face and oozes power.
I like that he doesn't have to be cast from hand to still get the land untap trigger, just cast and then ETB
Hmmm, could this be reasonable in modern? A lot of unfair decks pumping out giant creatures turn 2/3.
I like this for standard, it does a lot for the W control decks.
