How do people feel about Sin Collector in BW lists? Conceptually I like the idea of redundant amounts of discard (I'd play it alongside 4 Tidehollow Sculler and 4 Thought-Knot Seer .) However, I've never played with the card before. What do people think of it?
Hey peoples, quick question. What versions of Death and Taxes are doing the best right now? I've been playing just mono-white for years now and I'm real unsure if I want to make the leap to BW or some other variant.
Hey everyone, I've been playing Death and Taxes for about two years now and in a few hours I'll be playing at my first modern event at my towns new card shop. I'll be playing the list below, and I'll comeback later with how I did + match ups.
In a mono-white Death & Taxes list, how few white mana sources do you think it can go before it's a problem? In my 23 land list, with 10 double-white cards in it, I'm only running 13 white sources.
Anyone have any thoughts on Thraben Inspector? I know mono-white decks like this typically have card draw issues, so maybe this card plus Kor Skyfisher could be a thing. Our 1-drop slot is pretty contested though, so idk.
Also anyone seen Angelic Purge? It seems sick versatile, and in conjunction with cards like Loyal Cathar and Doomed Traveler the draw back seems super manageable. Plus late game you can just sacrifice lands. I could definitely see myself mainboarding Journey to Nowhere, and then if I think they are siding in enchantment removal I could bring in these from the sideboard. That plan aside though, this seems like a really strong card.
I love me some Thraben Inspector. It's a good card. Angelic Purge is an awesome addition as well. I think that the problem with White Weenie is that other decks will just drown it in card advantage.
Right, which is why we need to find other ways to get advantage where we can. This is gonna be my list as soon as I get some SOI cards.
I think cards like Doomed Traveler, Loyal Cathar, Safehold Elite, and Squadron Hawk might be able to make up for not having the same type of card advantage as other decks. Also like I said before, Thraben Inspector and Kor Skyfisher seems sick. Tbh though, I haven't played pauper a whole lot before so maybe this still won't be able to keep up

I know I do. I'll be replacing my 2 Serra Avenger with it
3 Dryad Militant
4 Leonin Arbiter
3 Thalia, Guardian of Thraben
2 Serra Avenger
4 Wall of Resurgence
4 Flickerwisp
4 Blade Splicer
2 Aven Mindcensor
3 Restoration Angel
4 Path to Exile
4 Æther Vial
Lands
11 Plains
1 Eiganjo Castle
1 Horizon Canopy
3 Mutavault
3 Blinkmoth Nexus
4 Ghost Quarter
1 Thalia, Guardian of Thraben
4 Mirran Crusader
2 Kor Firewalker
2 Rest in Peace
2 Hallowed Moonlight
2 Stony Silence
2 Kataki, War's Wage
So what would you recommend? Are their better cards that fill similar roles, or does this deck just want more 1 and 2 drops?
