I could not find the answer to this question anywhere on the Internet.

If I have Gale, Waterdeep Prodigy on the battlefield and I cast an instant spell from my hand, then cast a sorcery spell from my graveyard, does the sorcery spell go on the stack above the instant spell and resolve first? Or does the instant spell resolve, and then I can cast the sorcery spell?

Panglacial Wurm doesn't have flash, but you can cast it anytime you are searching your library. It doesn't follow the normal timing rules for casting a creature spell.

Plus Burgeoning lets you put a land card onto the battlefield on your opponent's turn.

    Maybe:

While you're searching your library, you may put this card from your library onto the battlefield.

But then you wouldn't be using your land play and you could put all four Panglacial Rifts onto the battlefield with a single search effect (landfall x4).

    Panglacial Rift
    Land (Common)
While you're searching your library, you may play Panglacial Rift from your library.
Panglacial Rift enters the battlefield tapped.
T, Sacrifice Panglacial Rift: Search your library for a basic land card, put it onto the battlefield, then shuffle your library.

Rulings (Based on Oracle Rulings for Panglacial Wurm):

    * Panglacial Rift's ability works only while you're searching your own library. The effect that caused you to search needs to say "search" and "library," and you need to be looking through your own library for this to work. Examples of effects that let you play Panglacial Rift are Rampant Growth and Gifts Ungiven. Examples of effects that don't are Bribery and Sage Owl.
    * Playing Panglacial Rift while searching your library follows all the normal rules for playing a land card, except for timing (playing the land this way always occurs during the resolution of another spell or ability) and what zone the land is being played from. Playing Panglacial Rift counts as one of your land plays for the turn.
    * After you have played Panglacial Rift, you pick up the search effect where you left off. When the search effect finishes resolving, the active player gets priority. Any abilities that triggered when the land was played are put on the stack now.
    * If you have available land plays remaining, you can play multiple Panglacial Rifts during a single search effect.
    * A Panglacial Rift that you play while searching your library can't be found by the search effect.
    * If you want to play Panglacial Rift while searching your library, you must do so before you find any cards with the search effect.
    * While searching your library, you must keep your library in the same order until you shuffle it.

    Thank you for the feedback.

    Does this fix the issues?

    Titus, Builder of Armies
    4RR
Legendary Creature - Human Soldier (Mythic Rare)
    4/4
Whenever Titus, Builder of Armies enters the battlefield, for each other nonlegendary creature you control, create a token that’s a copy of that creature. Those tokens gain haste. Exile them at the beginning of the next end step.
2W: Return Titus to its owner's hand.

If there is an Enchanted Evening on the battlefield and I cast Cleansing Meditation while I have threshold, do all of my permanents return to the battlefield even though they are only enchantments while they are on the battlefield? Cleansing Meditation is specifically worded "return all cards in your graveyard destroyed this way" and not "return all enchantment cards in your graveyard destroyed this way".

Okay, I thought the damage was done, then prevented so enrage would trigger. I didn't know the damage was replaced like it didn't happen causing enrage not to trigger.

I just want to make sure that Apex Altisaur and Vigor interact the way that I think they do.

Let's say I cast an entwined Tooth and Nail and put both Apex Altisaur and Vigor onto the battlefield.

I choose to have Apex Altisaur fight one of my opponent's creatures. Let's say it is a 5/5. Apex Altisaur will deal 10 damage to the 5/5 and the 5/5 will deal 5 damage to the Apex Altisaur which will be prevented by Vigor and will put five +1/+1 counters on Apex Altisaur making it a 15/15.

With the enrage trigger I choose to have Apex Altisaur fight another one of my opponent's creatures. Let's say it is a 7/7. Apex Altisaur will deal 15 damage to the 7/7 and the 7/7 will deal 7 damage to the Apex Altisaur which will be prevented by Vigor and will put seven +1/+1 counters on Apex Altisaur making it a 22/22.

I can keep doing this until my opponent runs out of creatures that Apex Altisaur can fight?

If I have a Generous Patron on the battlefield and I cast Travel Preparations to put a +1/+1 on two of my opponent's creatures, will I draw two cards?

If I have a Generous Patron on the battlefield and I proliferate (say with Atraxa, Praetors' Voice), adding +1/+1 counters to three of my opponent's creatures that already have +1/+1 counters on them, will I draw three cards?

I feel like I should totally know the answer to this, but if I have an Arcane Melee, a Goblin Electromancer and a Ruby Medallion on the battlefield and I tap 6 Mountains will my Kaervek's Torch deal 5 damage or 9 damage or some other number of damage?

    Thanks.

  • posted a message on Combat Phase
I just want to confirm that every turn a player takes has a combat phase, even if the active player does not declare any attackers?

Specifically, in a multiplayer game with 6 players (me and 5 other players), if I have a Citadel Siege on the battlefield and I chose "Dragons" when it entered the battlefield, on each of my opponent's turns, will I be able to tap a creature that player controls (as long as they control one that I can target)? Or can I only tap their creature if they "move to combat" on their turns? Asking for a friend (Gideon's Avenger).

    Thanks.

    Thank you peteroupc!

For the fifth bullet point, should I put the evoke triggered ability on the stack first and the "When Mulldrifter enters the battlefield, draw two cards" ability on the stack second? (LIFO) At what point do I draw two cards? At what point do I draw the additional two cards? Please illustrate as you did above.

    Thanks!

  • posted a message on Ephemerate Interactions
I just want to make sure I understand the timing of some common Ephemerate interactions (and how my opponent can respond):

Mulldrifter + Ephemerate: Cast Mulldrifter for its evoke cost, before passing priority, cast Ephemerate targeting Mulldrifter with the sacrifice trigger on the stack, Ephemerate resolves first, blinking it, sacrifice trigger does nothing, then draw four cards? How/when can opponent interact? Counterspell, Lightning Bolt, etc.

Spellstutter Sprite + Ephemerate: If there are two Spellstutter Sprites on the battlefield under my control and my opponent casts a spell with converted mana cost 2, can I cast Ephemerate on one of my Spellstutter Sprites in response to counter that spell?

Mnemonic Wall + Ephemerate: If there is a Mnemonic Wall on the battlefield under my control and Ephemerate is exiled (because I successfully cast it on my last turn), can I cast Ephemerate from exile at the beginning of my upkeep targeting the Mnemonic Wall and return the same Ephemerate from my graveyard to my hand?

    Thanks!

Using card tags is mandatory in the Magic Rulings forum. Please check your private messages to learn how to use them. I've added them for this post.
