Hey, I'm fairly new to infect, and I have a somewhat large tournament coming up tomorrow and just wanted to get some feedback on my decklist. I know it isn't perfect, but it's what I have, so let's get into it.
As you can see I have 3 potential sideboard spots that I am thinking to replace. I am not sure about the Engineered Explosives, as I feel it is the only real answer available to me to deal with a token deck, and with no initial cost to cast it, It only adds to card disadvantage, but potentially slows down the opponent out of fear of losing their entire board. Slip Through Space can easily go because I already have 2 MB, but sometimes a third feels like a good call. essentially the same with a second Wild Defiance. It feels OK in some situations, but sits in the board more often than not.
As for the MB I don't have any Zendikar Fetch lands so, I am running my Dryad Arbor MB as an additional land to fetch end of turn if needed. If you have any suggestions they would be appreciated.
I'm still not sure if I like the Nacatl version. It just seems like I'd rather have more burn spells in place of it.
From my experience with Nacatl, I didn't like it. I played it for about 2 months every week 1-2 times. It was only OK to me. One of the other guys there was all about it though. So I'd say try it if you want to form your own opinion.
Honestly, I really enjoyed it when I saw it. I saw it 3 times tonight, got an extra prowess off it, got a land that I needed, and got a spear on turn 2 and suspended a rift bolt which ended with 15 damage turn 3 to win exactly. I think as a 2 of its great for me if I watch for counters. Which are going to happen anyways.
I suppose it could be a terrible top deck if you draw a land with it when you needed a burn spell, but the same can be said of almost half the deck.
Edit: -1 Kor Firewalker +1 Grafdiggers Cage in SB.
So, I've got a list for this weekend that I am going to bring to my local SCG Regional or whatever it is that's going on this weekend. Just wanted to get some input on it, and am going to test it out tonight at FNM. Don't hold back, call me whatever name you want, I can take it
I would like to better optimize the lands, but the fetches I would need are too expensive right now, so this is the best I have. When I do get the money together, the Windswept and 1 Foundry will be replaced with Arid Mesa's. I might drop to 18 land depending on how the games go tonight. I have also always wanted to try out Manamorphose as a mana fix/free prowess trigger. (Read: I mistap my mana sometimes, and something to fix my stupidity when needed is nice.)
Hey guys, new to the site and am not sure how the formatting works. But I was just curious about how people feel about running 1-2 collateral damage mb? I run 1 and 14 creatures, and I find it is a really good surprise card that people don't expect to see, and it has won me games by sacking an eidolon to bypass the damage to myself after swinging in with it for an extra 2 damage.
