Heroic fits thematically with Theros - maybe with more legendary hero types (almost like Kamigawa) it will feel fun story wise. I personally found it a bit clunky to use, but no more so than the plethora of enchantments in Theros.

Seems reasonable. I just checked in gatherer, and there's no cycling in any standard blocks right now. Thematically, if Kaladesh is all about creation and artifacts, it could be reasoned that recycling things into new things makes sense.
Like all token gens, throw it Golgari with Doubling Season or Parallel Lives. Even Second Harvest works pretty well. Seems pretty good for limited, but takes work for constructed.
I saw something from my local gaming store saying that one of the new mechanics will be called "monarch". at the end of the monarch's turn they draw a card. whenever someone deals combat damage to the monarch, they become the monarch. no one starts as the monarch, but there are cards that say "you become the monarch" like a cantrip tacked onto to a regular spell. apparently there will be monarch tokens in some packs as well to keep track of who is the monarch. works kind of similarly to dethrone!
that sounds pretty neat and really flavourful. you want to attack the monarch to become the monarch yourself, but then you put yourself in a dangerous position.

Reminds me of Juggernaut in Halo. Juggernaut gets extra firepower, you kill Juggernaut, you become it. It feels more intuitive than dethrone, especially since the fluff of the block sounds like theres a lot of factions claiming to be the monarch, and infighting determines who is viewed as the monarch at a given time.
I wonder how many planeswalkers we can expect. The Origins 5 are rotating out, so that transition color balanced. Sarkhan and Narset from dragons are also rotating, but they see much less play than monocolored planeswalkers in standard.
We also know that 2 standard legal planeswalkers are coming in from the upcoming planeswalker decks, tying into Kaladesh block. These characters are relevant to the block, but not in it.
So we can expect 2 intro deck planeswalkers, 3-4 planeswalkers in Kaladesh (SOI had 4, BFZ had 3), and another 2 from Aether Revolt (like EMN and OGW) - anywhere from 7-8 'walkers. This leaves plenty of space for reprints (probable for the new intro packs), new walkers (probably Saheeli, and a new one as a foil to her), and new versions of planeswalkers (that weren't in the new innistrad block, cuz that feels to new).
