It's important to think how you're going to win the game at this point. Can you possibly beat him if he has it? If you can't, you might as well play as if he doesn't have it because you aren't going to win the game either way. If you can beat him even if he has the trick, then you have to try to read the situation. Generally, an opponent attacking with a 4/4 into 2 2/3's means he has it. Can you race him? Keep in mind, he has 4 cards in hand and 6 lands untapped. Chances are he's going to plop down another fat creature during his second main phase. You're playing Mardu, you've got a smaller board and no hand. I'm going to assume he is at a low life total. Otherwise I think you're just too far behind to catch up without drawing into a trump card. At this point, I let the damage go through and hope you draw into just enough damage to race him.
There are two ways to gain the respect of local players. One is to be friendly and pleasant to play against. The second is to be good at magic. Play more and follow good strategy advice to get better at magic. Don't act like a kid and people wont treat you like one.
Depends on what formats you are playing. Casually, there are cheaper options in building a mana base. In competitive magic, you're going to need fetches.
I'd rather put either Kobe or Jordan in a different position than take one them off the court. That seems just wrong.
PG: Magic Johnson
SG: Kobe Bryant
SF: Michael Jordan (he's bigger than Kobe so he gets bumped up to the 3)
PF: Tim Duncan (I'm surprised I'm the first to mention him)
C: Kareem Abdul Jabbar
Honorable Mention(s): Shaquille O'neal (The hardest choice, for me, was between him and KAJ)
Lebron James (he would be the SF if it not for Kobe/MJ)
Confessions of a player who's played both RDW and Teachings/Dralnu:
-Drawing cards make the world go round
-Bashing with creatures is so much fun
-Nothing feel better than countering your spell
-Except burning you to the face
-The ultimate feel good moment is when I Tendrils of Corruption your creature that was attacking for lethal while I have Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth and a bunch of other lands. Brb gonna teach for another one.
Hi everyone. I think its time that I retire from this clan and mtgs as a whole. I don't play magic anymore and I have no intentions of returning. If I ever come back to magic, you guys will know.
Well man, whatever floats your boat. Hope you make some good money of those cards so you can get something you really like. Will you still hang around MTGS?
Hey guys. Its official. I'm quitting magic for good, if not a very long time. My best friend sold all of his cards already and I would have to if my phone was in tact the past couple of weeks. We kinda told each other we were quitting at the same time not knowing the other was quitting too so that was kind of funny.

Good luck to everyone playing tonight.
I'm going to try to visit this thread at least.
