    Awesome!
Looks like Delver is in the lead. The list I posted above is pretty close to the ones that have had the most recent results, but with opt for instant speed cantrips/running 17 lands and electrolyze for aggro/souls.
Either way, play which ever you want. I don’t know if anyone has agreed to a set list yet.

Whoa! That's a lot of affinity hate! Pretty big in your meta?
I've been running 2x keranos for the jund/junk m/u. I'm thinking of cutting it for Chandra: tod. Since getting to 5 mana is sketch sometimes with 17/18 lands.
That may be really good since all they run against planeswalkers is 1x maelstrom pulse and 2x bolt nowadays.
Still don't know what to board against eldrazi tron. Maybe 3x ceremonious rejection 1x wear/tear? For both etron and affinity?
I tried 2x surgical last Friday and it was FIRE. Especially with young PZ.

I think the recent results with jeskai are a way to go now.

I've been having amazing matchups against most of the meta decks. (Need some more practice against eldrazi tron)

Assuming this may be the way to go, what are your guys' thoughts on the sideboard?

Btw, I was wondering about your high dredge count. Since the deck's so packed with staples, I always find it hard to accommodate more than 6 or 7 dredgers in my list. The consensus has been somewhere around 6 to 8 so far. What's your thought on that?

Stinkweed imp is our highest dredge count, so it's a 4 of.
Golgari thug is not only a dredger, but helps recur VV, so 4 of.
Loam is for conflag as stated before, so there's the 2. I might bring it down to one to try the haunted dead out.
Does anyone have any sideboard guidelines they would like to compare?

Congrats on the 5-0 and thank you for the report. I agree that this kind of list is the most competitive and am glad to see it put up some nice results. This is most likely the list I'll be bringing to a big tournament this autumn.

Recently, I have moved the Loams to the side to only bring them in in attrition matchups. That way, I can focus on outracing them g1, which we do better than most decks, anyways. We also have to win g1 or the deck's in a really tough spot, since gravehate is still an issue, albeit less so than for other graveyard-based strategies. What are your thoughts on that?

You're not running Haunted Dead, has that been an issue? Do you think you would have liked a one-of Honored Hydra in any of the matches? What about Insult // Injury?[/quote]

I believe this is the best variation of Dredgevine for now. I think it may be as powerful as the T1 dredge, but nobody plays this version. It's so consistent and synergistic and I don't think it folds that bad to gy hate. Conflag + loam were the allstars this evening and it is what gives the deck the reach/removal it desperately needed. I'd love to hear any feedback. Thanks in advance.

    Thank you!
As far as Loam on the side, I'd disagree.
If you take Loam out, you may as well not run conflag. It would take too long to bank enough extra cards to discard for the flashback cost. I did run Haunted Dead instead of the 4th thug, but decided to switch it back because thug is one of the most common ways I used to animate vengevine. I suppose you could cut the 2nd loam for it, but then again, you'd be running 1 less dredger. I'll test it and see how it works.

As far as the hydra goes, I haven't tested it, but it seems super cool. Maybe too slow though. And gets hit by push, no? And it doesn't trigger vv. =(

    Insult // Injury
Hm, that card seems cool, but I don't know if in this style of deck. Most of the time, you will cast it from the gy and that cast is kind of meh. I think conflag is much better.

I am looking at the sideboard and may replace the abrupt decay for Vengeful Pharaoh

Went 5-0 @ a fairly competitive FNM last with this bad boy:

R1: Abzan Coco w/ the new Vizier of Remedies. 2-0
    Sideboard:
    +3 brutality
    +2 Darkblast
    -2 Neonate
    -1 Loam
    -1 Ghast
    -1 Thug
    Notable plays:
g2, t3 He had hierarch, birds + Vizier on board ready to combo off next turn. I flashback conflag, dumping my hand for the boardwipe and he scoops.

    R2: Mardu Midrange w/ discards/removal/souls package. 2-1
    Sideboard:
    +3 brutality
    +2 Darkblast
    -2 Neonate
    -1 Loam
    -1 Ghast
    -1 Thug
    Notable plays:
g3, went to time t5 he's at 18 life and clogs the board w/ 4 souls tokens, a 2/2 knight & +1 sorin for lifelink to go for the draw. I had 3 lands in hand and dredge loam, then cast loam and drop a land to flashback conflag for 5 wiping his souls tokens to alpha strike with 3 vv, 2 crawler & 2 amalgam.

R3: B/W Sacrifice. Typical blood artist, Zulaport sac & drain deck with souls. 2-0
    Sideboard:
    +3 Thoughtseize
    +2 Darkblast
    -2 Neonate
    -1 Loam
    -1 Ghast
    -1 Thug
    Notable plays:
EoT darkblast my thug in play, putting gcrawler on top of library. draw and cast gcrawler and a 2nd i had in gy to reanimate 3 vv for the win.

    r4: Bant Eldrazi, stock. 2-1
    Sideboard:
    +2 Thoughtseize
    +1 Grudge
    +2 Axe
    -2 Neonate
    -1 Loam
    -1 Ghast
    -1 Conflag
    Notable plays:
None, really. You just have to either mull to extreme gas or have t1 discard because he ran 2 cage/2 rip.

    r5: Eldrazi Tron, stock. 2-0
    Sideboard:
    +2 Grudge
    +3 Thoughtseize
    -2 Neonate
    -1 Loam
    -1 Ghast
    -1 Conflag
    Notable plays:
Chalice against use is not as good as it is against the rest of the meta.
g2, t3 I dredge thug to toss 2 vv in the gy and then I cast Neonate, it gets countered, then cast thug to reanimate both vv.
    he's dead soon after.

    Summary:
I believe this is the best variation of Dredgevine for now. I think it may be as powerful as the T1 dredge, but nobody plays this version. It's so consistent and synergistic and I don't think it folds that bad to gy hate. Conflag + loam were the allstars this evening and it is what gives the deck the reach/removal it desperately needed. I'll try bolts again. Just having that discard has been optimal. Especially when 3 lands is the sweet spot for that deck so you can hold the extra lands for a solid removal. Or even just discard a vv t1 to combo t2.
    Forest is the 19th land.
My sb is in the works. I've only recently started playing at a new shop and the meta consists of alot of burn, artifact, tron and gy midrange decks (jund, grixis).
    So far I have:
    3 ancient grudge [lantern (axe)& affinity(commune)
3 blood moon (greedy mana base midrange/control)
    3 scooze: gy decks (superion)
3 gnaw to the bone: hyper aggro (commune)
    3 xxx

After lurking for a hot minute, I've decided to pick this deck up and put dredgevine down. It's amazing how resilient this deck is to hate.

After playing for a bit, I've decided to drop all 4 bolts for lightning axe. Reason being is that I really don't care for x/3 creatures with Bushwhacker's/scourge Devil's ETB triggers, but gurmag/goyf/Titi were annoying roadblocks before the swap. I have really needed to finish someone off with a bolt once in the 35 rounds I have played.

4 axes sometimes feels like too many, but I haven't really found anything to fill that slot. And i can always discard one to the other. This maybe the only flex in the deck. Maybe a one of noxious revival may be worth it.

Second swap I've done was the 3rd mandrills for scourge Devil. This thing is a BEAST. It adds so much more consistency and is a great discard to t1 axe/looting/neonate.

Third is -1 commune for a 19th land: this is just a sweet spot I've found since once in a blood moon (that's right) I do hardcast my boy VV.

I'd like to see your input since I'll be taking it to a 40+ fnm tomorrow and will return with results.

I don't think spell snare is as dead as people think. Not every target looks like they're super important to counter, but in the right situations, snare can turn the game. Based off of the top lists on MtGoldfish for modern, I made a list of potential targets.

    Jund:
    Scooze, terminate, goyf, confidant

    Infect:
    Blighted agent, spellskite

    Abzan company:
Voice, scooze, anafenza, melira, spellskite, wall of roots

    Affinity:
Arch bound ravager, steel overseer, vault skirge, cranial plating

    Tron:
    Spellskite, sylvan scrying

    Burn:
Eidolon, Boros charm, atarkas command, searing blaze, helix, skullcrack

    Junk:
    Scooze, goyf, dromokas command

    RUG Scapeshift:
Snap, Sakura, anticipate, explore, far seek, user charm, peer through the depths, remand, negate

    Merfolk:
Spreading seas, harbinger, mater of the pearl trident, lord of Atlantis, silverfgill adept, chalice, negate

    Jeskai control:
remand, snap, helix, mana leak, negate

    Death and taxes:
    Arbiter, skite, Thalia, sculler

    Titanshift:
    Sakura, explore, khalni, omen, skite

    Kiki chord:
Lone missionary, qasali pridemage, scooze, spellskite, voice, wall of omens, wall of roots

2 of delver's worst match ups spell snare is key in (jund, burn)
Tron may still be a lost cause though...
