What is the proper priority to put on him so he comes back on my next upkeep? No matter what I try, he goes to the command zone. The proper one it seems should be "exile, not command zone" but when I play online i'm being told different priorities. And when do I change it...before I cast him, as I cast him, on the battlefield, before end step?

I'm brand new to MTGO and quite frankly about done even trying to play MTGO. Too many mess ups that would never happen in paper magic. For the life of me, why isn't his priority automatically to what his ability wants him to do most of the time. If I don't want to blink him on my next upkeep, then I simply won't but trying to find the right priority to get him to work the way he SHOULD is maddening. And I shouldn't have to do it every single game!

I pray no one buys this and Wizards has to sit on this product and the joke that it is. The very obvious cash grab is obvious

I get what all of you long time players who probably already have most of these cards, if not all, are saying but it makes sense to me and I'll buy it. I've been playing MTG for almost a year now and just recently got into Commander in the last couple of months. This, for me, is the best way to go. If I were to go buy these cards individually I'd spend a fortune. There's no way I can find a Heavenly Inferno deck for under $150 right now. I will be getting some very decent commander cards in these 4 sets for a solid value. Assuming stores don't jack the price up even more. If I can get this for $165 I'm jumping on it.

I just logged onto TCG Player and built the Heavenly Inferno deck...cost with shipping is almost $110. That leaves $55 left over to make up and there is easily that in the other three sets.

I guess my best bet (I'm playing a U/R spells deck) is to wait for the copter to be crewed and just kill it....:p

Yes he can. The Lightning Axe goes on the stack, but has not resolved yet. Your opponent then has the opportunity to play spells or activate abilities before the Axe resolves (which is called "having priority"). It's during this time that he can activate the Smuggler's Copter, since crewing can be done at any time.

Then, once the Copter is crewed, he can let the Axe resolve and kill his guy.

Ok, this clears it up even more. Thanks!

So, with that being said, and I figured that was the case, it comes down to who declares what first???? The declaring of crewing or the declaring of casting an instant?

I'm having trouble with the crewing question. Let's say my opponent has only a Smuggler's Copter out on the board. He then plays a creature card which can crew the copter. I immediately play say a Lightning Axe on the creature. Can he still crew the copter with the creature in response to my instant? I mean, to me, the creature is dead....how does a dead creature crew a vehicle? The guy I played against, simply casual kitchen table magic, swears he can do this. I've been wrong more than right but I don't see how a dead creature can drive a vehicle.....

I built the Red/Blue spells deck where I'm only running Torrential Gearhulk and some Wandering Fumarole creatures so I'm casting tons of instants to create energy off of Dynavolt Tower. My question is sort of two fold:

One, when my opponent casts say Angel of Invention and I immediately cast say Lightning Axe, does LA immediately kill the angel or does it have to wait to enter the battlefield since LA only kills creatures?

Two, the goal of my deck is to obviously keep creatures off of his board so I don't want him to fabricate two servos. Would this prevent the fabricate ability from taking effect?

    Thanks

Not sure if it's dying but as a new player to paper MTG, I pumped $45 into Draft leagues today for MTGO...what a complete waste of money. The interface is terrible. I used Mindbender twice and screwed it up both times. I Imprisoned my own ******* land with Imprisoned the Moon even though I clicked his card. What a joke. I won't dump another dime into that thing.

Ugh...this is the cost of playing with an 11 year old son who thinks he knows all the rules. I'm fairly certain that if I have Voldaren Pariah out on the board with multiple creatures I can combo that with Distended Mindbender. For example; play the Mindbender, sacrifice a creature off the board and use that sacrificed creature with TWO more to flip Pariah. Please tell me I'm right on this and don't need to sacrifice a 4th creature.

I may be wrong. Now I'm seeing the word "Other" on the Pariah so that might make a difference. UGH....these combos never ever work for me....lol.

So if I have Haunted Dead in graveyard and Prized Amalgam in hand can I discard Prized Amalgam as one of the cards to discard and bring it back out or does it have to be in graveyard already??
