How does this compare to Linvala, the Preserver? Linvala can't draw cards but can save you from burn, and the body is makes can be a relevant threat in the later game unlike these 1/1's. However, this draws an extra card every turn and can protect itself.
Cast on curve, this card will often do little to nothing due to empty-ish graveyards. It scales very well into the late game but I'm worried its low early impact will relegate it to sideboard grave-hate use only.
Note that the -X/-0 will only trigger if this card is still on the battlefield when you discard. If they Infernal Grasp this in response to the trigger, you won't get the -X/-0. Worth keeping that potential weakness in mind.
Of note is that it triggers whenever *any* player casts their second sepll in a turn. Still not sure this quite gets there because one of those spells could likely be able to kill this thing.
Not sure if this compares well to Champion of the Parish, but it's a 1-drop that grows, and with the increasing number of legendary permanents in cubes, it's worthy of discussion.
Great with tokens, can recur other card types, doesn't require repeated mana investment... seems solid. The un-loopability and CMC are unfortunate though; I feel like this would be a slam dunk at 4, but at 5 it may not compare well to Obzedat etc. Still, lots of potential to grind value with this card.
Great with Swords, can be found with Stoneforge, versatile and scales up into the late game. Very good in RG, which has lots of large tramplers. Will test.
Flexible and upticks to defend itself. The ult is like a weaker The Immortal Sun. Not sure if this cracks Simic sections except in large cubes, but it's incredibly versatile.
With the ever-increasing number of ETBs, this seems potentially solid. Not to mention it's decent at eating aggro creatures.
THIS is a 4CMC Gruul walker. Makes a body that can be a 4/4 hasty trampler every turn and can draw 4 deal 4 by itself the turn after.

Not sure anyone wants 8-drops, but these are solid for the mana cost.
Two solid bodies with evasion/defensive capability for 5. Difficult to cast but if monogreen is a thing in your cube, I could see trying this.
