By the time Nahiri was released, we had massive casualties on Zendikar though. My buddy locked me up, my hometown got bombed by terrorists, lots of people died. Even though the town is still there, the nightmare and trauma in the minds of the survivors will remain. And you can't bring back the dead, unless you're Liliana haha.
I'd likely be pissed enough at my buddy, mentor, whoever to come to blows. They essentially stole your chance at doing anything to help.
Fulmintor Mage does indeed sound like a good idea, but I'm not sure it should be in the mainboard instead of the sideboard (unless you play frequently against land decks: Tron, Scapeshift and Affinity/Infect with Inkmoth Nexus).
How did you fit the Tec' Edge in the deck ?
How does your manabase (and decklist) look like ?
What is the opinion on a couple of Engineered Explosives in the mainboard as a sweeper ?
I removed the Liliana's and replaced with 3 copies of Fulminator Mage. I also swapped in 3 Tectonic Edge as the deck was quite weak against man-lands. Between targeted discard (Inquisition/Thoughtseize) and the mana/color denial aspect of Fulminator/Tectonic, especially when recurring Fulminator with K-Command, I've seen alot of success simply delaying or locking decks out long enough to Ult Nahiri. Goblin Dark-Dwellers is MVP in this deck, as it serves as additional copies of removal, board wipe, K-Command, and can close games out quickly if needed. I'm on the Lingering Souls train as well, as they work wonders in pressuring or simply providing chumps to protect Nahiri. An weakness I've found and have quite a hard time with are the Flying/Vigilance/Haste Type creatures. Mantis RiderLightning Angel and Stormbreath Dragon Jeskai Airforce is a real pain for me.
Well, white has dabbled in counterspells on and off. A search showed as early as Mirage, so not entirely out of whites wheelhouse.
