    You can:
T1 Land, search for tomorrow (or not, see below)
    T2 Land, farsrek/Sakura/farseek
T3 Land, cast fires. If you have played search, you can't cast any more spell this turn. If you didn't, cast another ramp spell.
T4 land, Cast primeval titan, cast scapeshift, win
    Or
    T4 land, Titan, Titan, win.

Don't know if it is better than prismatic omens, for example, but seems a nice alternative. You could even free Titan, free woodfall Primus, break this enchant, pact and cast another Titan for 6. That's 14 Mana generated by a single enchantment at the cost of 4

Isnt Thalia a great card against jund and Mardu? I feel she still deserves a spot in the deck to make it even harder to deal with our creatures...

After a long time playing Death and Taxes, I intend to come back to BW processors. The metagame seems good for us, with lots of creature decks we can prey on. Also, our worst matchups, tron, valakut and perhaps storm, are now more manageable with the printing of damping sphere and the new Mana tithe artifact. Could this be the time for BW to shine?

There has been an increase I tarmogoyfs also, since traverse shadow made some results. Also, I don't think mardu will stand out with BBE loose. I am thinking of playing two spirits of labirynth and two mirran crusaders maindeck now (be eldrazi and taxes with Freebooter instead of tidehollows here). The increased resilience to Jace, to temur card advantage and giving another Target for removal turn two for these cantrip decks instead of thalia/arbiter seems nice. I'll maybe send the stranglers to sideboard for the humans/merfolk/afinity (aggro) matchs, as well as a couple revokers. I intend to play two wrath's also because I expect and increase of aggro to face Jace with fire, so the globals may help here. Bob's are still under evaluation...

How do you guys fight blood moon? I normally go 5-1 at my local, and my only loss is ALWAYS from a blood moon being sided on me.
    Ratchet bomb is your answer.
Once you realize pathing a spirit token will ramp you into smasher/TKS, you're good.
This works amazingly well IF you run a Wastes in the 75, which can be difficult in a Sculler build.
Sure, forgot that some builds drifted away from wastes because of sculler. Which reminds me why I changed from sculler to Kitesail Freebooter in my Taxes list and will be testing the pirate in processors as well. I'll report as soon as i get some results!

I've got GP Toronto this weekend so I'm going to give it a spin. The mutavaults are the only cards I don't own. I wonder how this deck would play out with ghost quarter instead of the vaults. I don't really understand the surgical in the deck without GQ's as there's not many times I'd bring in surgical where I wasn't wanting to target lands. Can anyone think of what matchups surgical are coming in against? I'm guessing fulminator comes in on those same matchups but seems kind of weak without the GQ's but would love to hear why mutavault is overall a better card in the deck as obviously the lists that have done well have 4 mutavaults. for reference here is the decklist

I think it's because mutavault up the creature counts and helps to fight aggro.

Play a couple disenchants (which hits moon and boggles auras, lantern, coralhelm...) instead of stony silence, beside the anguished unmaking. If you're on ghost quarter, go slow and GQ a shock or dual land for a plains. Playing 3 to 4 Marsh flats is a must also. then path your own token/drazi for a waste. Blood moon is often played by decks that can't compete with us in power, so if they spend time setting up a moon, probably their hand is weak enough so we can also set up an out to the moon. Once you realize pathing a spirit token will ramp you into smasher/TKS, you're good.

can some one give me a better explanation why when i blink my leonin arbiter my opponent must pay 2 more (so the total is 4 ?)
when the leonin is blinked, the game looks at it as a new creature, and so his tax must be paid (the 2 Mana already paid are lost). However, mind it that you can't, say, ghost quarter your opponent, and after they pay two, you blink the leonin. Paying two Mana is a special action that does not use the stack, and is activated when they have priority, so you do not get priority back if he let the GQ resolve. It works, however, if he preemptively pay two for a Sakura tribe elder, or fetch land, THEN activate the hability and pass priority to you. You can then blink the arbiter and then they'll have e to pay 2 more Mana. Also,if they activate the search hability and pass priority to you without paying 2 Mana, they can only have the opportunity to pay it IF you do something. If you pass priority back, they can't pay for the leonin tax.

Hi. Not sure if this question is geared to processor decks rather than taxes decks. If taxes u may wish to post in that forum. For processors I play the Herder version of the deck, rather than Smasher. I went back to Sculler from Kitesail after some, but not a lot of testng. I am comfortable with the mana base to deal with the WB cmc for Sculler and prefer its ability to also hit creatures. By all means play it and let us know your results!
yeah, the question was intended for processors. I originally was a processor player (smasher version with 4 scullers) and migrated to taxes last season... But I am always tinkering the processor.dec. I feel Kitesail would be more interesting because I really want to run 4 mutavaults, which is a turn 1 card that really slows down sculler. It I was in blight herder more controllish plan, I would go sculler and five 1cmc discards. With smasher I play only 3 seizes and no inquisitions.

Has anyone talked about this new card Slaughter the Strong coming out in Rivals? I think it has some really strong sideboard potential in multiple D&T builds.

It's a cheap and powerful board wipe against anything with big bodies or crazy boards that will almost never affect us as much as our opponent. Kills Death's Shadow and Gurmag Angler in that matchup, kills a ton of stuff in any Living End deck, takes care of a lot of the bigger threats from Tron, and we will almost always be able to keep most of our own creatures and at least will be able to pick the ones we want most. Basically any two of our most important bears, or a single Thought-Knot Seer or even Vial in a Flickerwisp to save a second Seer at the cost of the Wisp itself. I guess you can't run Reality Smasher but that's the only real limitation this puts on your deck I can think of.

I could be totally wrong but to me this just seems like something that will always affect certain opponents a ton and us very little. I'll definitely be experimenting with it soon.
I really see no reason in playing it instead of wrath of God or Dusk//Dawn. What I don't like in slaughter is it does almost nothing to go wide decks, where we really need the wipe, and there will be a LOT of situations where it will not take care of what we really want. See, for the creatures you mentioned, Dusk Dawn is more effective, as it does not destroy almost all our board (excluding big eldrazi), and keeping a Thalia/leonine and letting them keep a TKS/tassigur/goyf/Baral+goblin, really bothers me... I have had little to no success in playing selective board wipes and always go back to wrath. Also, several of these wipers does absolutely nothing to afinity, a match I always want my wipers online. The only one I still want to evaluate is Bontus, which is an unconditional 3 Mana wipe, and with vials and 1cc spells (path/push/vial) the following recharge turn may not be totally wasted.

Have anyone tried Kitesail Freebooter instead of sculler? I'm playing it in eldrazi and taxes and pretty happy with it. Of course it is a card that can be pushed in response to its trigger without drawback, but the fat it is a 1/2 fly is a good upside overall. And 1B is really easier to cast...

Hey guys, what do you think of the new 1B pirate, 2/2, flash, deathtouch and (ignored pirate ability)? Wondering if he can be useful at BW version, as we can tick vial to 3 and still be able to do some block tricks with him. Also, he is a good attacker, with deathtouch, and could be even better if you play freebooters instead of Tidehollows.

Frankly, I am not a fan of a 1BB non-creature spell with the EnT Mana base (or for anything else, really: it's the reason I decided to go mono white). That said, she grinds very well and I think I have seen a few lists running her on mtggoldfish.

The Lili I think might be a better fit is Liliana, Heretical Healer. As a creature, she can be vialed in, especially in response to a kill spell or combat where one of your creatures dies, and can be a value engine in a grindier game.

Now I want one in my mono-white list Slant

How about BW Death and Taxes without the big Eldrazi package (Except Displacer)? So just black for Tidehollow Sculler, Wasteland Strangler and a one of Liliana, Heretical Healer

I think with 4 Caves of Koilos, 2 Shambling Vent and 2 Swamps in it, it could work. Or am I completely wrong here? ^^

I think the big eldrazi are THE payoff of playing with such a bad mana base... I would never run BW If It weren't for the backup push, Bob and tidehollow/kitesail offer during the First turns before you Land TKS and RS. that Said, baby Liliana seems Nice against burn also...

No, non-creature spells are usually a liability, especially a 3CMC spell with BB in the mana cost. Just play more "flex slot" creatures like Blade Splicer or Thalia V2.
    Or even maindeck Fatal Push.

As for the human Match-up, I have yet to lose to the archetype with E&T, Wasteland Strangler is great and blink effects are surprisingly good against it.

Thanks, I actually totally forgot about the double black mana cost of Arena.

Bob is good, but less than a need for the deck. I often side him out. You could try thraben inspetor, which can be abused with Eldisplacer, or copters, or even play more removal/Thalias/smashers/stranglers/splicers.

I find interesting that the Eldrazi lists do not run Reality Smashers. It is simply a BEAST. It is the single creature in the deck that can bring you back to game in an almost lost match... I am running three and it is lovely to topdeck it! Of course there are mana issues (i often Mulligan more than i would want to), but few players expect to have to deal with a lot of hatebears AND a surprise 5/5 trampling hasty alien. Also, flickerwisping a blocker is mean Smile

If you're playing BW Eldrazi and Taxes, I would not put any utility lands apart for the 4x Eldrazi Temple and 4x Ghost Quarter: your ability to have the colored mana you need is already stretched to its limit as it is.

But cavern is a somewhat color fixing land. You don't have to name eldrazi except for control matchup or if you need strangler or displacer on turn 2. But it can cast leonin, Thalia, wisp, or tidehollow (despite none of them sharing a type). I am still not sold to a "correct" Mana base for this deck (godless/courtyards). For instance, I am cutting all shambling vents because the tapped restriction hurts a lot, more than the (expensive) reach it can grant, and will play a mix of shocks and fasts. Also going up to 21 or 22 lands (was playing with 20 and had mixed feelings about it. I had a lot of good creature draws, but mulliganed often. My dependence on vial gives me shaky hands, vulnerable to IoK and KCommand)
