They're the type of people who would cash in if they had the opportunity. For shame.
They are? Have you actually looked at any of the other of the things they have done?
They do two webcomics, neither of them serious, and neither of them with adds or a way to make money. They do a website that jokingly "explains" sports. Again: no monetary gain. Anyone who looked at Darths and Droids and IWC for more than 15 minutes could tell they were made by someone not just out for making a quick buck.
EDIT: So maybe being in it for the lulz is not all that much better than being in it for the scamming, but it is better, all the same.
I didn't see any discussion of Jackal Pup or Tattermunge Maniac in the OP. Any particular reason no one runs them?
They make the deck vulnerable to removal. This is burn, not sligh. You play a Jackal Pup, suddenly the removal in their hand is good. You do not want that, so you either run no creatures, or only disposable creatures.
*Did anyone but me find their "What Bush Got Right" article ridiculous? Seriously, the whole article can be boiled down into these two sentences: "Well, Bush did -insert minor thing here- correctly. However, that doesn't excuse him from all of the terrible things he has done.
I will bet that mezzacotta's idea will have almost no material worth. I think that the whole "Pay us a million and you can have the site" thing is totally a joke.
What do I have to base it on? Not much, just that I've been reading IWC for a couple years and Darths and Droids from the beginning, and the picture of DMM's personality I get from those leads me to believe that any get rich scheme he would set out on is not much more than a joke.
You are aware that it can give its bonus to other creatures, right?
Read it again, I didn't quite get it the first time either.
I know that. Still, when do you attack with one creature? Almost never, so the card might give you one extra damage every game, when you go, say, turn one vial, turn two this, turn three attack. After that, it's not going to help.
Then again, it is kinda good post Cataclysm, but still, I think all the other options available to us are a lot better.
Don't like it. It's only good when it's the only creature in play, and even then it's like a non evasive, non vigilant Serra Avenger that's only big when attacking. With this deck, to mount any sort of meaningful clock you need at least two creatures, and once you have that this guy is useless, except against Propaganda effects.
Blazing Archon. This card is so good. You play reanimate or oath it and suddenly aggro falls over and dies, while Archon of Justice just slows them down.
I think they might have broken their rule of trying to not make Mythic Rares good playable cards.
That wasn't the rule. If you read the article, MaRo said that mythic rares weren't going to be staples that would be run in every deck, like Thoughtseize. Nowhere does he say they will be jank.
@Tezzeret: Man, this card is good. I bet a deck built around him will be quite good in standard and maybe extended. Too bad Academy Ruins will be rotating.
This was released today. It's Google's new, open source browser. I haven't tried it out, because my dad flips out when I download software without telling him, but it seems cool.
What the hell, why was it unbanned? GAH, why do they change things so often!?
Because it's not good? Nobody runs 4x Voltaic Key in any deck.
They don't change things that often. This happened a year ago. They only ban/unban cards on the first day of a month whose number is divisible by three. That's every three months, I'm sure you can get used to change in that time.

That's because it is semi-randomly generated.

NPR. Colbert report and friends. Newsweek*.
That's about it.

I find his logic to be missing the point.

Except that Canonist is good against things like thresh as well. (i.e.: they play goyf, you swords it, they can't counter)

Also, this is a good read.
