The original dragon age game has dwarves you could play as.

How much time It takes to beat a game is only part of the equation for me. The value for games comes in how long you can play it, and how much you enjoy it. For example, I have never beaten Dungeon crawl, but I don't mind taking a romp for an hour or two then dying to a 27-Headed Lehedran* Hydra or Sonja. So really, it isn't length to beat, its how much fun I have before it ends.

My favorite civ would have to be 2. That was the first computer game I was addicted to. Civ 3 had fairly decent graphics for its time but adding resources made your play though more of a crap shoot- am I going to get Iron? Saltpeter? Rubber? And loosing your first expansion culturally because an other civ started close to you was bogus, but gaining territories through cultural expansion was nice.

Civ 4 added a ton of new stuff, but later on the combat was ridiculous.

    Never played 5.

Wow, no love for dungeon crawl: Stone soup?

I would recommend checking it out. Tons of options as far as starting race/class/equipment, but the game has some trap options. For a first play through, I would recommend a troll berserker.

This is a really tough one. Wild mill slamming the archon is my instinctual reaction, though the skyknight and charm will probably put 2 other players into azorious. Auger spree is a good choice, but the archon... I choose you!

Um Simic and Rakdos would be a 4 color combination...

Darn, I thought I had it all balanced, too... I may be thinking this over too much. But can anyone figure out a way to combine the gatecrash/RTR guilds into pairs that add up to ally wedges? Or enemy wedges?

I think that wedges, enemy or ally, are possible, and make sense from a limited perspective. I mean, for draft it's going to be RTR-RTR-RTR, GTC-GTC-GTC, then sinker-GTC-RTR. It is confirmed to have guild cards in it.
For the draft to work, you need to be able to pick your guilds in gatecrash and pick them up in the next two packs. So it would make sense for the wedges to be only combinations of RTR/GTC. So we would have azorious/orzhov, rakdos/simic, izzet/dimir, Golgari/gruul, Boros/selesnya

The wedges will probably be alara colored, combine an ally/enemy pair coloring, and be from each set.

While mewtwo and orlandu are both powerfull, Bo Jackson wins this one. He can't be hit, and if he is, simply gets back up. Mewtwo is the first to fall as he eventually runs out of pp. Not sure how Bo bests orlandu, but whatever.

I would say, pick 2 guilds that share a color. That way, you cap at 3 colors. From the way you described it, you picked 2 colors (red and white) and connected them with blue, azorious and izzet. This seems like a viable strategy and probably a bit less risky than commiting to a guild p1p1.

I am casting my vote for the spree. It kills most creatures at instant speed. I would never pick Azors eluctors, in my experience opponents would just stall for time until game draw. Stab wound would be nice, but probably wouldn't table.

No, I have never bought music. I don't really care for it.

Yeah, but Dark Souls takes the Witcher 2 pre patch way of teaching you how to play it without a character or setting I could bring myself to care about. It felt like a combat only D&D campaign without messing around with friends. I also have it on PC and it's so ****ing terrible on that platform.

Dark Souls is the epitome of minimalist approaches. Whether or not that's a good thing depends on your focus on the tactical combat. It's probably way, way better on consoles. I agree that it does a lot of organic showing well. After dying to the red eye knight in the castle twice before ringing the first bell, I couldn't bring myself to keep playing a game when I just didn't care about anything or anyone in it and the controls were still localized for the XBox. That's simply unforgivable for any port. I mean, I could get past the KOTOR 1 level of graphics, but come on.

#1 do you have Xbox controls for your pc? You realize the game was designed for that, right?
#2 part of the dark souls experience is you will die until you get better as a player, or some sort of fluke happens. I mean, the pc version is called "prepare to die" for a reason.
You probably know how frustrating it is to die multiple times to the same enemy, but for me the payoff is worth it when I kill a boss for the first time.

But back to the greater issue at hand, I think that most cross platform games are too easy or too dumbed down, and their main focus is multiplayer for the lowest common denominator. For example, Skyrim. My friends all beat it and are now challenging themselves to make the game a challenge. For example, one of them plays without a HUD on he hardest difficulty without putting points into weapon or magic attack skills. And he still one-shots everything not dragon.

In my experience, underpaying/overpaying was about the same, day to day, so there was always some float money in the till, which would occasionally need replenishing out of our pocket. On busy days, the float money would add up to 20 dollars or more. When I say busy, I mean literaly thousands of customers at one till.
By the end of those busy days, the float money would always subtract itself, mysteriously.
And yes, this was a business where many of the front end hourly employees (and some salaried managers, i expect) stole product regularly. Frown

So, in 5 years, we're going to be playing 2 cmc 10/10 creatures.

    Insane :p

    Better than cmc 1 13/13s.
My favorite thing about this card is how you can start putting counters on yourself. Especially nice in multiplayer.

Wild Mongrel Used to dominate standard and all it did was turn your cards into temp +1+1 bonuses.

If you think people are using this just for its abilities and not its synergy your not looking at the cards in this set. Grisly Salvage alone probably makes this playable, not to mention the troll.

Wild mongrel was awesome because it fit in a great tempo deck, or rather helped enable madness. Aquamobea was right there with it. I agree that we need to look at synergies more before we can say it powers loltroll.dec
