This is something I've been fiddling with for a bit but its still in pretty much the alpha phase of design. I think it might work but I'm sure I'm missing some trick or maybe I've just gone down the wrong rabbit hole.
Really we wont ever get the original artifact lands back, or at least not any time soon. I think the reason they printed the bridges other than to make affinity not be a pile of woe is to see how it interacts, even as it has to interact slower than it ever did since they CIPT. Honestly you still get a bunch of positive interaction with the actual affinity mechanic even with the taplands. Which really means letting us have the non tap affinity lands problematic.
Glimpse of Nature is just NOT going to happen, to many ways to add a color easy and spam out a deck and elves would be impossible to not play.
I really wonder about people that want to play twin. Its like they think its innocuous but really it isnt and even with format changes just too darn good.
Jitte I can actually see coming back since removal has gotten very streamlined and its not as unfair as it was.
Rite of Flame just cant come off since even at sorcery speed the interactions are way more than casual and wizards really doesn't like ritual mana in modern. Heck they barely like mana dorks in standard anymore. Also they hate storm and are never giving it such a easy wincon. Gonna have to work for it guys.
Also Ponder in modern? Its limited in Vintage for crying out loud, that should tell you what power level its on. Preordain (its little cousin) does not need to be put together with Explosive Iteration.
Honestly Pod is fine to come off the ban list since you actually could interact with it in a meaningful way. Never really understood why it went in the first place.
Shoal is problematic, on one hand I could see since the average mana value of decks are so slim anymore that its not going to be a issue in most decks. On the other, any deck that has flying creatures and something like magma opus as part of the deck could really break the game since magma is NOT a dead card before it can be played.
Eh really not that good honestly, we have many other ways of giving hexproof and altering our current efficient cards to the elephant token just seems not a great use of our resources.
Delirium is in some ways easier to build around and will not short you when you need it than delvers flip mechanic. Between Seal of Fire, Seal of Removal, and Mishra's Bauble with basic fetch and creature destruction getting four types usually isnt that much work.
Isn't to say you cant play both but since delver itself only transforming for instants and sorcery spells that means you cant always alter the deck enough to make sure one or the other can reach their higher forms. Adding in enchantments and or artifacts dilutes the delver plan and can only be given a certain amount of space before it changes the ratio away from optimum. Honestly its all about how the ratios play out.
Honestly I look at the second ability as if I can, rather than I need to do it do it do it. If I want that we always have rancor or other options. If it works fine but I'm way more interested in the card advantage which is something we really desire.
The not coming into play tapped early is nice, but the variable body defeats the purpose of the manland size to utility. That and if your actually playing hexdrinker/Rhonas you don't honestly need another mana sink.
One of the reasons we are discussing the werewolf is that ALOT of our creatures just make the requirement cut easily enough so its all upside even if it can be destroyed/targeted.
White has a lot of etb effects true but be VERY careful with this since its a must not a may and will screw tokens over if that is all that's left on the field.
Technically its powerful, except that it needs a mana and a tap, and only counts goblins that came into play that turn so you cant just continually progress and gain larger and larger burns. I really haven't seen any goblin token creation this set yet so its possible its better than I believe.
Could theoretically work with Krenko but that deck in either EDH or modern has better things to spend its mana on.
Meteor Swarm is not bad. I mean 4 mana for 8 at sorcery isn't the best investment but at least x is how you spread the damage rather than the total amount of damage which is usually the downfall of x spells since generating that mana usually takes more effort.
This is more scavenged blade really with a better CC but a worse equip later if the creature dies, which since many cards can manipulate the equip anymore isn't as bad.
I normally just DONT get that excited for alt art and promos....but the Preators is definitely a "shut up and take my money" kind of situation where its just unwise to not buy them.
The two comic artist and the Saturday morning one will probably be purchased as well since I like the art styles.
The rest I honestly am not enthralled by as I either have the cards in the art I want or just don't care, even for monetary speculation. Really the signet ones are a pretty slap in the face even with old frame new art backgrounds. If they were 4x for each in their respective Lair it would be a bit less but honestly still bad.
Arcbound is funny you want 5 counters or a 4/4 with haste.
Salvaging is awesome for madness with the correct timing.
Echoing return is going to be powerful in some decks.

Also Shambling Ghast is subtlety more powerful since zombies are the graveyard strategy with carrion feeder and Lurrus of the Dream-Den
