  • posted a message on Marijuana? Why Not
The way I see it, if you're going to ban marijuana because it's bad for you, you may as well ban fast food, soda, prescription medicine and the internet. I just recently did a research project on the effects of THC for my AP psychology class, and much to my non-surprise, there hasn't be a direct documented case of death from marijuana use. In fact, there are actually several studies that have shown marijuana has the potential to fight brain cancer and MRSA, as well as ease nerve pain. Now you might say these are just arguments for medical marijuana, so I'll present another argument. It seems to me that the use of marijuana is a very effective stress reducer, and comparatively to other things people rely on it seems like the safest alternative.

Basically what I'm saying, is that it is a well known fact that things like alcohol are much worse than marijuana, and much more common. If you honestly are okay with alcohol being illegal, then you have to be okay with marijuana. Unless you're a prick who doesn't care about double standards, that is.

I'm definitely looking forward to Golden Sun DS and Super Mario Galaxy 2, but overall I think the Microsoft conference was the strongest. I'm definitely considering getting a 360 now. FFXIII looks sooooooo good.

Does anyone else think Sony embarrassed themselves with their very subpar motion controller?

I'm not dead! But my scanner is, so until I buy a new one (sometime this/next week), I won't have the rest of the cards up, but there are a playset of Goyfs, 3 more FOWs, and an Imperial Seal on the way. And if I get time (after finishing Seal and 2 more Goyfs), I'll get some stuff to auction or something done. Anyways...

That's it for now, more to come sometime next week. Good work everyone. EDIT: Spells are Force of Will and Yawgmoth's Will (respectively).

Masamune is at it again with the great alts. Keep up the awesome frickin work!

Both Star Ocean games, FFT, and anything with Tales Of in its title.

Then again, I'm a Tales maniac.

Hello, my name is Emperor Norton, and I too am a Talesoholic. Always good to meet a fellow Tales junkie to complain about how Namco hates us. Not that I'm bitter or anything.

As for SotN, I wouldn't recommend getting Dracula X just for it due to the fact that it takes a good minute and a half to load the game even after going through the opening load screens. Not to mention the PSPFat's d-pad isn't up to snuff for SotN.

Imma gonna go play ToS2 again now. I want to get enough grade for 10x experience before seriously starting a second playthrough. Although I still haven't given ToL enough love yet, either...

Well, I've only played the Tales of Symphonia games, but if the rest of the series is even near as good as they were I'll definitely check them out.

If it has Final Fantasy in the name 99% of the time it will get a US port at least lol.
True, however his post seemed to suggest to me that it was going to stay Japan only.

If you're not afraid of Japanese language, you should try Final Fantasy Dissidia. It's one of the best games of the last year, and the interface is easily understandable if you use a simple guide.
I wouldn't be too against that idea except story means a lot more to me than anything else when it comes to rpgs, and I can't speak/read japanese. Is it scheduled to get a port?

EDIT: I just read that a port is coming out August 25th

hehe, yeah! Don't get me wrong, I think the guy is probably kidding too. But, still his delivery makes it fantastic. Anyone else would have been a jackass about it, and have been smiling and acting like a retard to really drive it home that their just making a joke. If he was just some normal looking Halo playing homie looking kid saying the same thing in a silly voice, it wouldn't be funny. It'd just come off as some dumbass college kid who's probably really into the Scary Movie series and thinks Dane Cook is "The Man"

I think it's awesome, whether he's kidding or not that he'd be willing to never "break character" in that sense. He's either a really sincere and couragous person or a brilliant comedian.
I love everything about this post!

You know, I actually really respect this guy. If he is legit, he's friggin cool in a way. He obviously doesn't care about silly crap like worrying about social standards and what other people think, he's not hurting anyone and he just seems really open and sincere. Not to mention his room is totally awesome.

I myself am not too in the idea of "recycling" in that context, but if that's what does it for ya....

EDIT: Okay, after actually watching the whole video, as opposed to just the first minute or so. I totally can't believe this guy is serious either. I mean, he has glasses on. Certainly someone who's wearing glasses would be smart enough to know how semen works.

Nevertheless, I respect this guy. One of the things I always hated about comedy, is when it's delivered as a joke. IMO, it takes a real talent to play the funny man through the guise of the straight man. Some of the best bits are the ones that people don't really know are happening. Kaufman understood this.
I definitely respect his ability to admit to these things on camera and his ability to deviate from traditional social values. It's just his reasoning. It's all too lulzy for me.

So, I just bought a psp recently, and I need some suggestions for games I should rent/buy(please specify how long the game is so I don't have to buy every game).

    I currently own:

Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters(Came with in a bundle pack)
    Star Ocean: First Departure

and I am looking into getting:

    Star Ocean: Second Evolution
Phantasy Star Portable(debating if I should just wait until Phantasy star zero for DS comes out)
    Final Fantasy XIII Agito(upon release)

I generally like rpgs(any combat system as long as there is good story), platformers, and adventuring games that aren't quite platformers(like Zelda), but I'll try just about anything.

    Thanks in advance!

I watched the whole video...for whatever reason. I also watched this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QeeQxmdbK2Q&feature=related

The chick's name is Ivy, lolz!
Yeah I watched that one too. I wanted to see if he addressed the recycling thing. Instead he just gave us more to laugh about.

No, I do not recycle. If this dude is legit, he's kind of dumb...

Drink his own semen to impress a girl? Did he honestly think this would attract her? Does he have any common sense at all?

And he expects us to treat him as an individual???

Okay, maybe I'm being a bit harsh... but he's not as "mentally sound" as he asserts. He needs a good lesson in social clues. And a second video was more than unnecessary.

I think it's funny that he thinks drinking it doesn't still kill "them". I'm so torn on how this guy could possibly be serious.

This actually sounds pretty cool, as long as they keep the gen 2 acorn thingy pokeballs. Those were interesting and fun.

    Wow. No, just no. No
Is this guy for real? I doubt it. Even if he really does, why is he getting on youtube to tell me about it?
Honestly, I'm not sure. He seems awkward enough to be real though. If you watch the whole video he actually starts talking about spanking himself and then tries to pass of crapping his pants as normal.

So. . . is it just me, or is this guy taking things a little too far?

I just build a r/g/b junk aggro deck that abuses a lot of cascade cards in combination with a low curve of hasty creatures. It seems really f'ing good. If anyone's interested in my list pm me, otherwise I won't go through the work of posting it.

  • posted a message on Could the Allies Have Bombed Auschwitz?
Why would we bomb Auschwitz? Wouldn't that make us the ones killing the Jews? The ratio of captives to those working at Auschwitz is disturbingly in Germany's favor if you're seriously considering that we should have bombed them.
