Certainly. The most important things to note, is that Wildfire comes with two built-in tools that prevent it from suffering the same problems that almost every other mass land destruction card has.
1. Players do not like mass land destruction, because it resets the game-state, with all players going "back to square one". In the case of Wildfire, however, the game state is radically changed, not stagnated. Wildfire puts every player to one life, and simultaneously does not allow for any one player to have an advantage over any other (through cards in hand, mana rocks, or creatures on the board), assuming it was cast without floating mana. This creates a tense, unique game-state, where players are foced to immediately change their plans, and are more focused on their topdecks than during any other point in the game. After a resolved Wildfire, every player is now waiting to see who can take the advantage. No other card can do all of this at once, making Wildfire much more interesting than it's LD predecessors. Arguably, the card is not just LD, it's an entire game changer.
2. Players do not like mass land destruction being played without a win condition to back it up. Most of the complaints (myself included) about mass land destruction is that a player will often use it just to answer the threat of a player's strong board state. However, this often leads to the game dragging out much longer than it should have if the board is wiped, but the LD player can't win the game. Wildfire comes with a caveat to that problem, because a player can either combo off of it directly (Oblivion Ring > Win-con) or float mana to cast their General pre-Wildfire. Both of these options turn Wildfire from a wanton destruction spell into a game-winning card, and if green can win the game off of Tooth and Nail, red should be allowed to win the game off of Wildfire, too.

Word for word the same for me. Except, I don't go to the local shops much anymore. I hit an EDH night once a month, and they tend to be 20-30 for the most part and in my group we span from 21 to 40.
I don't care
