It also hoses Eldrazi by cutting them off from colorless.
It might work for that, but most of the Eldrazi decks I've seen rely as much on colorless rocks to ramp as they do lands. So, while that may have some bearing on it, it's not going to have significant in-game impact probably. But, isn't that how most of these cards go? People focus on the scenarios where the card will dominate a game. Caverns of Despair is one I talk about more than I should, but it's a great example of a card that sounds like it'll do something (keep opponents from hitting you hard with swarms) but doesn't (it insures you get hit hard by 2 creatures and die). All the cards that are stand alone good have surged though, so it probably makes sense to look like you are - cards that hose prevalent emerging strategies or cards that have combo potential (I suck at that).

I just looked and it looks like City of Solitude is already going up. Slant

I have a bad feeling Eternal Masters is going to cause chaos with the MTG market.

With that said, any other Reserved List cards likely to spike like that?
I would say that there are still some cards that feel underpriced for how much casual play they see. But if you take investment advice from me you are a fool.
    Opalescence
    Donate
Second Chance (This is the one I could see heading up once people get stars in their eyes about cheap free turns that can be chained with Sun Titan)
    Lifeline
Recurring Nightmare (If unbanned in CMD this thing will sky rocket and there's talk that it could be)
    Corpse Dance ($2.50? What??)
Infernal Tribute (One of the only "sac a permanent" cards in the game)
City of Solitude (Similar to Hall of Gemstone)
    Bubble Matrix
Tombstone Stairwell (With so much self-mill I am shocked this isn't played more. I think people maybe don't see that it's each turn and not your turn Shrugs )
Etc (I ran out of time)

To quote the Aquabats... "It's like Mexican candy; complex flavor..."

Indeed, this is a wonderful card, complex with flavor. Fun, casual card. Great for Commander.
Commander is a format where paying 7 and waiting a full turn to draw a card is unacceptable in any color. The flavor is cool, yes, but this card is so overcosted that it shouldn't see play.

Still a bunch of copies of Oubliette on ebay at reasonable prices if you need the card.
I'm curious what your definition of reasonable is. They could be had for $10-$12 recently and now the cheapest BIN is $24.
Speculating on Pauper just feels dirty. I'm a cold-hearted capitalist with ice in my veins whose pulse quickens at the scent of a fresh dollar just asking to be made, but even I object to that. It's a budget format: the last refuge of the player who has been priced out of everything else. They'd be playing LCGs or a fifty-cent Uno deck missing one of the draw fours they found at Goodwill if it weren't for Pauper.

Pauper has become appealing to non-budget casual players too - if the only appeal was budget people wouldn't play it. And while Modern has destroyed a lot of the cheap decks (Affinity and Tron have doubled in the last year or so) there are still plenty of archetypes that one can play for under $30.
Mono-black Control can also be played without Oubliette just fine.

Nobody I know would trade Revised duals for those. Try selling them here, eBay, etc. And then buy your lands.

posted a message on Duel Decks Speed vs Cunning $11.99 at Target

I saw Speed vs. Cunning boxes at Target for $11.99, was surprised to see a deal at a regular store. Any online store in stock has them slightly higher.

I didn't have this set in my collection yet. There isn't enough margin to flip them and I'm not sure if it's a good deal for singles or play use.

The Target near me is 500 Medley Centre Pkwy Rochester NY 14622 (corner of E Ridge Rd and N Goodman St). They had 6 out (5 after I bought 1). Maybe this particular store had a case, or perhaps other Targets have them too.

They are selling for that much because it's not really a product people want.
