I played against a GR tron the other day and had a hard time with the matchup. I was naming Karn for Meddling Mage, should I be naming Ulamog or Ancient Stirrings?

Looking forward to watching this deck grow any thoughts on the new Renegade Rallier somewhere in here?

On the topic of budget replacements for Goyfs, I'm going to try Sylvan Advocate for a bit until I can afford Goyfs. If Sylvan works out nicely I'll report back. Really liking the deck list tho wpgstevo.

I've slotted in 2 Fauna Shamans and it's been pretty handy to get Knight or Spell Queller late game by pitching a dork.

Quick question for you guys, I'm saving up for the Noble Hierarchs and using budget mana dorks in it's place. Should I use Avacyn's Pilgrim, Elvish Mystic, or Arbor Elf?

How are you guys feeling about the infect match up now that it has another hexproof combat trick in Blossoming Defenses? Its very popular in my meta and having that extra consistency of hexproof is rough.

I am a new player to modern, usually EDH player. My play group wanted to do something more competitive and we all decided to get in our LGS's local modern scene. I proxyed out Knightfall and had a lot of the pieces to begin with I just got a few questions.

- Is splashing red 100% needed. I really want to play a Bant deck that isn't Eldrazi. It's a dumb vorthos thing.
- What is good to board against Grixisband? I've been told Thalia isn't super great but it seems like it works well against a sudden Emrakul.
- What happened to Lotus Cobra and Loxodon Smiter? I like these cards a lot and the lists from 2015 had them but I haven't seen one in a list from 2016.
