Is everyone really having that much trouble with humans? We have so much disruption and so many different removal spells that the meddling mage isn't that great.
If your LGS has that many Human decks and you can't seem to beat it, just put Torpor Orb in your side board. The card says, and I quote "I hate humans and I want to annihilate the deck when I play this card and auto win" lol
But seriously, Torpor Orb turns off all ETB triggers. The entire deck is enter the battlefield effects and the only way they have to remove artifacts is an enter the battlefield effect.....
Technically, Meddling Mage isn't an ETB but basically everything else is in Humans. Although that also shuts off the good part of TKS too.
What I meant is that meddling mage is worse in decks that have multiple types of removal. They can't protect themselves. Dismember, spatial, ratchet
Also, I don't think the deck needs any help to beat humans. But if you have trouble, Torpor Orb shuts off:

Thalias lieutenant
reflector mage
restoration angle

I'm pretty sure we have a higher land count for the purpose of being able to mulligan down to 5 without risking getting land screwed too much.
I'm not sure. I have been testing this a lot. it seems fine.
What do you have in place of the 23rd land then? Also which land do you cut, because the way I feel about most of the lands is that they are spells too, so cutting something like GQ definitely has an impact on our match ups. I was actually considering the inverse of what you're suggesting by going up a land to help out vs Tron decks since they are heavy in my meta. Considered cutting a MR for that.
For now I'm testing cutting a mutavult. I'll be interested in seeing what Jordan thinks. I would advise that nobody listen to me yet lol. I have not really decided what card to add. Either a threat or a control piece. I'm really just testing a lot to see if I have more problems with a land missing.
Now that the hype from BBE and Jace unbanning has resulted in facing less of those cards, is it correct to go back to the 2-2 split between Endless One and Matter Reshaper? It helps against Thalia in humans and possibly trading with a champion later in the game.
You can pry my 4 copies of matter reshaper out of my cold dead hands! Lol
When would you want to have a Ghostfire Blade in the SB?
Also, how do you guys side against G/x Tron? I'm currently cutting chalice for 2x Sorcerous Spyglass. My meta is very tron and humans heavy, so I wouldn't mind an optimized SB for those matchups.
Edit: OTP, would you guys keep a hand of: Temple, Relic, MR, Dismember, 2x Eternal Scourge, and a Powder. I ended up powdering it away because it was too land light and the 2 scourges made it seem like it was worth losing the one temple for future hands.
I would always powder this away. Mull to 9? Seems good. I would powder this away even with just 1 scourge and a 1 lander.
Didn't take long to see that there needs to be a very generic target for Karn in the sideboard.
Something that is good in every match. I immediately turned to looking for a creature as an easy beater. Maybe the best option is heart of Kiran.

Have you felt like you want to trim a land from the mana base now?
In my testing I'm leaning towards wanting to cut a land. The scry ability to find what I need is just so strong it seems.
