I'm getting started making a standard deck to play with my friends and I'm trying to make a B/U Cycling deck, mostly because I find Archfiend of Ifnir really cool. I think I have a lot of good cards in here, but I need help filling out the deck and tuning it a little bit.
I generally want to capitalize on the discard triggering effects to destroy the opponent's board, or just fly over them with creatures. I'm not sure if I have enough drawing and discarding to support that. I was looking at the Trial of Knowledge and Cartouche of Knowledge combo for semi-reliable drawing, which would likely replace Pull From Tomorrow. I also feel that it needs more control elements to get to the late game. Mana for the cycle trigger may also be an issue.
I would appreciate any suggestions for the deck, or deck building tips in general!
Hey guys,
I'm making an esper deck that focuses on exiling opponent's cards via exiling with Flickerwisp or Detention Sphere and processing them with Eldrazi. I need help slimming it a bit, though; I need to knock off 11 cards. (This is my first time actually trying to build a mechanically fun deck as opposed to just throwing creatures, although that's a lot of fun too)
I was also thinking of just adding more lands and using it that way, but I'm a bit leery of doing that.
Essentially what I want is Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver to exile cards so I always have processor food, Detention Sphere and Flickerwisp can be used to take out threats permanently with processor combos, and also get more effects on top of that. Ulamog's Reclaimer can be used to get Cloudshift and Ghostly Flicker back after use, and Strionic Resonator can be used to copy processor ETB abilities.
Thanks!
EDIT: Swapped Negate for Ulamog's Nullifier, as blinking it will also counter a spell.
EDIT 2: Moved thread because I'm an idiot and put it in the wrong area.

EDIT 2: Switched to Modern Deck Creation Forum, don't know how to delete this thread.
I'm trying to form a Esper Flicker/Processor Modern Deck and I ran into a few questions about the nature of temporary exiles:
1) If I processed the card I exiled with Oblivion Ring or Parallax Tide, will it still return to the battlefield from the graveyard? The card makes it sound like it does, but I heard that cards with these kind of effects lose track of the card if it leaves exile. Is that true?
2) Especially if point 1 is true, can I use Leyline of the Void to immediately exile it from the graveyard and the card would still stay in exile after Oblivion Ring or Parallax Tide left the battlefield, since it switched zones, or would the cards function normally since the card returned to exile?
I had a question about how Yaruk, the Desecrated. If I played a Palace Siege, would I be able to choose both options?

I was just wondering what would happen if I Ghostly Flicker Wasteland Strangler and Detention Sphere at the time time? Could I use the Wasteland Strangler processing ability on the Detention Sphere's new victim(s) or not? Thanks!
