If Ertai‘s Meddling counters a morphed spell, only a face-up colourless, nameless 2/2 creature will resolve after the delay. So in this case, Meddling only copies the „morph spell“, not the whole card (which is counter-intuitive to all the other cases, where Meddling actually remembers the countered spell‘s targets, X-values and so on).
EDIT: Knowing the rules now, this card looks mighty fine to me!
Both of these swords are objectively worse than at least 3 of the existing swords (Feast/Famine, Fire/Ice, Light/Shadow). They will never see play in Modern without Stoneforge. And probably wouldn't see play with her either, in favor of Batterskull, and one or two of the others listed above.
I’m also in very high spirits about the new cards!
Matron is definitely the full playset for me. As for Munitions Expert, I‘d be looking to play 3-4. Since Modern is quite the creature-heavy format, this should have a target most of the time. Because it’s trigger happens etb, Expert also counts for itself (a little something in exchange for not getting Gempalm Incinerator‘s carddraw. Who knows, it might even become the primary removal for goblins in the future? I think it will certainly be good.
You missed 2 Goblin Guides in the ‚Spells‘ category by the way.
Yes, plus the artwork is just ridiculous. There is even a shark flying our way.
I’m in the middle of brewing right now, starting with a midrange build based on Aether Vial and Warren Instigator. Basically the Legacy deck transferred into Modern.
Not sure if that‘s the way to go though. What do you think?
New Ugin - although guaranteed to affect the board on the turn it‘s played - does not seem to do enough for my taste (in comparison to our other stuff at 6-8 cmc). Don‘t get me wrong, I don‘t think it‘s bad. New Karn on the other hand has built-in artifact hate and an easy way to close out the game. I am also not very fond of the all-in wishboard plan: I’d rather play 1-2 New Karns MB and 1 Mycosynth Lattice SB - not change too much, but enjoy the fact that no matter whether it‘s game 1, 2, 3 or how I board, I‘d always have access to my 75 and almost everything can be found off Ancient Stirrings. Sounds quite good to me.

I mostly agree. The protections from Sword of Sinew and Steel might come in quite handy though!

Fair point.
I meant to say that the means to getting rid of it often stay the same.
Edit: Screw totem armor. Get Ugin down by turn 4.
Uh... isn‘t it the other way around? Since with Shroud, you can‘t pump, enchant or equip your creature.

Fact or Fiction is coming!
It‘s noncreatures only, looks strong nonetheless.
Edit: Aside from Ad Nauseam, combo decks probably won‘t be able to use it?
