Yeah I figured Manic Vandal would be an excelent SB choice. Zealous Conscripts seems very tempting but he might be SB aswell. I really haven't considered Fiend Hunter don't you think Oblivion Ring might be a better choice? A single Devil's Play could work.

Now what mostly caught my attention was the Pillar of Flame suggestion. At first I was like wtf, but I didnt read the text to that card yet and it seems great. I mean Strangleroot Geist has been a pain for me, and this is just what I needed. thx

Well the deck is able to get card advantage early in the game due to Ichor Wellspring and Mycosynth Wellspring. You could hang on to these later on since outside of denying metalcraft (which isn't a big factor in this deck) there is no good reason to counter them or destroy them. Perilous Myr, can give you a lot of value for what he's worth, sometimes 2 for 1 creatures or just burning the opponent.

Solemn Simulacrum, well there's not really much to explain about him except that all of the other cards I mention before including SS are sacable for 1+ life via Phrexia's Core and an extra effect (draw another card, search for another land, 2 dmg) depending on which card you sac. So basically we have Perilous Myr and Solemn Simulacrum as our small sacable creatures. These creatures are also enables for extra damage on Brimstone Volley, which in most decks kinda works akwardly since you have to make suspicious attacks or just wait for the moment that you opponent thinks he needs to kill your creatures. Not in this deck, we can sac them ourselves.

Ok so up until now I've explained how most of the cards have interesting cipt abilities as well as effects the activate when they go into the GY. So now we can further abuse them with Sun Titan which brings back additional card draw, chomp blocker+2 dmg, basic lands, etc. Once Sun Titan gets into the battlefield the decks starts to feel like it is a blue deck somehow.

Inferno Titan is pretty much a meta call seeing as that there are so many 1-toughness creatures out there. Once again there is so much card value in the titans, which have become very easy to cast thanks to Cavern of Souls

So basically we gain card advantage from recurring to creatures and artifacts we can sac. We can punish certain plays with our burn spells. The mana curve isn't too high considering all the card drawing and mana fixing. If we were to get a bit more mass destruction in the form of
Day of Judgement or Slagstorm we'd have a bit more efficiency as well.

Okay I've seen some RW decks (which automatically call themselves boros) that are either aggro or control. I'm gonna take the control route using Sun Titan and Inferno Titan as my finishers. These guys have become alot better now that we have Cavern of Souls. Also I want to be able to get alot of card value by either "blinking" them or bringing them back from the GY with S.Titan.

    So here's my list:

I'd say the weakest card would be Mycosynth Wellspring, but it is great to see it from turns 1-8, so it actually isn't that bad. It is very easy to get Metalcraft for Galvanic Blast although I usually just end up winning with Titans, Brimstones, and Myrs.

Hi guys, the meta where I live consist of mainly aggro decks (vamps, ww, rdw) a birthing pod deck and an eldrazi green deck. So I was thinking of making a deck that uses alot of removal (BSZ/clasms) and artefact destruction. Any ideas for a deck that fits this description or cards that may help me?

How would you improve the political puppets deck? I'm looking for "group hug" cards and also stuff like insurrection. Thx for the ideas guys.

Srry for double post, just wanted to say that I agree with l3dzppln about prefering sweepers to Inquisition of Kosilek. I too ran a set in my deck, but I feel my bolts do so much more: removing, burning, taking out PW. I feel like I'm still taking a card from them, only that I making them pay mana for it aswell. I've been meaning to post my list for quite awhile now as I've been get pretty good results at fnm placing 1st, 2nd, 1st, 2nd (I think it was in that order).

The deck works great vs Cawblade, WW, Vamps, UB control, Infect, Kuldotha Red. I have so far only had trouble with Eldrazi Ramp and RDW. Last tournament I managed to win against Eldrazi although I feel I had some luck too. I probably could have won against RDW but I couldn't get a red source of mana, either way the games with RDW are way to close so I need to find a good SB card for that deck. BTW the Phoenix are great against Control, Cawblade, and vamps.

Quite the opposite @ all, to be honest.

We have faster Titans and Jace, so even if they get a guy that's out of burn range onto the field we can trump them. I prefer Burst Lightning to both, even. 2 is relevant early, and than it can do 4 against Planeswalker (WAY relevant in comparison to DB/GftT.)

Pyroclasm is hands-down the best Standard sweeper right now. It's SO good.

Inferno Titan & Grave Titan are each a 2-turn clock. Little matters as long as they attack, it's usually game. Inferno Titan is better against Aggro, Grave Titan is a bit more resilient to removal, but the relevant decks that don't simply roll over to an opponent untapping with a Titan (say, Vampires) are Control, a Valakut. Valakut doesn't care about your non-Frost Titan, and Control decks are U/W, who's nigh-only removal spell right now is Day Of Judgement (and Jace, to an extent,) and U/B has their own GTs and more counters than you do, unless you're playing a bad BUG deck. Inferno can slay a Jace upon entry even if you pass into their DOJ. Grave Titan looks pretty dumb then.

Just my thoughts on the matter.

Thanks for your response, very helpful I'm pretty much convinced on the whole burst lightning deal now.

Why is RUG better? Isnt Grave Titan > Inferno Titan, Go for the Throat > Lightning Bolt, Black Zenith > Pyroclasm??

Hi, Im new to RUG/BUG. I was wondering though, was is it that more people prefer RUG to BUG? What matchups are favorable to each deck and which has better MU to Cawblade and UB control? thx for the help.

I was wondering which creature would be best to destroy artefacts and/or enchantments.
Im looking for decent power/toughness to cmc, maybe a creature that can constantly destroy stuff.

Hi guys! I'm fairly new to this deck and I have a few questions:

one. I see that this deck did well in worlds, but I have yet to find this deck being played in PTQ's after worlds...what happened?

    2. What decks are strong against PA? What decks are weak?

    c. I see that near the end of this thread people are wanting to play BR instead of UR, why the change? It seems to me that PA would be losing alot of life in the BR version and that's not taking into account the opponent might be playing a super fast agrro/burn deck.

IV. Would you take this deck to a PTQ?

bonus*** Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?
