Planning on testing Alpine Moon with Trinisphere on the SB instead of Damping Sphere. Not so sure of Trinisphere in the deck but I think it's better for combo/control matchups than Thorn of Amethyst and alikes. Any thoughts?

    I have doubts

What is the best tool to beat burn?

    Feed the clan?
    Chalice of the void?
    other?

Kitchen Finks post sideboard games, Thought-Knot Seer if you can find it should do the trick. Burn is an even match we should not mind much having specific slots in our sideboard. You can run Thragtusk even if you need more options. That's about it I guess.

Hi guys did you see the new infernal judgment from m19? It should become a huge problem... Do you think it's time to include (maybe into sb) more colored creatures? Maybe something like rhonas to switch with smashers?

It doesn't do anything better than Terminate or Path to Exile, while being more narrow than the listed before. Yes, the gain life clause is more troublesome for an aggro deck like ours, but I wouldn't be so worried for it to change the core of the deck. It hits half of our deck, but the other half could be potentially dangerous for our opponent to have a narrow answer in their hand. It's more for big creatures like Tron or a Vintage removal for Workshops to me.

Sweepers - a tough sideboarding decision for this deck.

I like Kozilek's Return, but you could cast 2 of them and still not kill humans with +1 counters. The same goes for Anger/Slagstorm/etc. All is Dust seems slow, but I haven't had a chance to test it yet. However, it is the only sweeper that can reliably wipe the board. Engineered Explosives would be the best balance of versatility and speed, but at $80 a pop - I dont feel like adding them to my 75, especially when I know I won't draw one unless it is off a BBE cascade. Seriously though, I am not putting any X spells in a BBE deck, even if its the sideboard.

So after all of that, does anyone have a recommendation for a sideboard sweeper card vs. Humans? Has anyone tried Ratchet Bomb - and if so, is it too slow? Thanks!

I like Kozilek's Return and EE because they synergyze well with Ancient Stirrings. Having more options to hit with it makes it extremely relevant. I think Kozilek's Return is more Affinity, CoCo and Pyromancer-esque aimed. Being instant, it can kill manlands, Etched Champion, all the annoying chumpblockers, combo creatures in instant speed, etc. EE has a proven versatility I don't think I have to explain it here, even if it's sometimes a bad hit with BBE. It is definitively better than Ratchet Bomb.

The problem with Humans is that their creatures outvalue ours. Humans is a really bad match for us, so if you wanna commit to it you should try cards like Torpor Orb and alike, something dedicated. I have tried All Is Dust and the only matchups I think its worth to have is Jund and sometimes Ponza, not even Mardu Pyromancer.

Seconded! Been checking in on this thread sporadically and I'm pretty excited to build this deck!

Dumb Question: Why not run any Wastes MB? Since the deck is practically tri-colored, Blood Moon seems like it could cripple half the deck if Mind Stone or Seal of Primordium isn't drawn. It could also be helpful again a Path or FoR. I may be overlooking something super obvious, but I'm just curious. I've been playing E-Tron for awhile and just want to shift gears to something with a littler more versatility and answers.

Also, has anyone tested with All is Dust? Does this card do any good? With even a single Temple and a mana dork, I can see this beingg devastating on Turn 5 again any non-colorless deck.

First, we don't have a proactive way to tutor up Wastes, like E-Tron has with map and such. So it probably won't show up in the times we need it, and it takes away a land flex slot (we are really tight on those atm), so it's hard to run, even as a one-off.

All is Dust is a good card but it isn't amazing for us. I have tested it, and topdecking it against Jund, Ponza and alikes is just a win, simple as that. Against Humans (presumably our worst match-up besides Ad Nauseam), it's too slow to work. I'm running one in the sideboard atm but I think I'll return to Anger of the Gods (the double red is a pain sometimes tho) and Kozilek's Return as sweepers.

    Hey dudes,

Im currently building RG Eldrazi deck for me and i was wondering that is there any (real)use for Temur battle rage?
Using it with obligator to steal something big and make it double strike. Like if there´s something big like Death´s shadow/Ulamog to steal
and pump it up with Temur battle rage.

Or do i just make things sound more better then it really is Grin

Every suggestion to the deck sounds good to play with it but the real problem is to find room for them. The deck is really tight on flex slot, so that's why all of our lists look the same Smile

thoughts on broken bond in the side?

A sorcery-speed Naturalize for me tbh. Our deck doesn't need many lands to have explosive starts, what it needs is a combination of Temple+dork+a threat. The ideal play with it would be something like, turn one dork, turn two drop, cast it, third land drop and a three-drop with temple on turn two. I don't think that matters much to accelerate that land, even with the sort of disruption Broken Bonds did, because even with it you will have a turn three smasher or similar, something that our deck already does. Topdecking it with empty hand would be disaster though, and not being a instant is very relevant.

Waiting on Darksteel Dominaria thoughts for our deck... Smile

What cards of Dominaria are you excited to try out?

I'm thinking about removing Matter Reshaper and adding Tireless Tracker.

    opinions?

I think is necessary to look for cards advantage.

I don't think the land count is high enough for tracker to payoff in our deck, honestly. You want your Tracker to leave two clues aprox. to get some value out of it, and with 22 lands and only 2 fetchlands the odds decreases significantly. This deck generates card advantage by doing 2x1 in almost all the core creatures we use. Matter Reshaper satisfies that condition, having more synergy with the rest of our cards than Tracker. And I honestly think that our deck topdecks are really good, so if you go topdecking mode with another deck I think you'll eventually end up winning (some luck also involved of course).

If you think you gas out more times than you would like to, maybe Endbringer, Sea Gate Wreckage or alike are the cards you are looking for. Hope this reasoning helps you decide what to try out.

Thanks for sharing your sideboard plan @redtwister! Blood Moon is a weird choice if you ask me. I struggle more when I see it on the other side of the BF to be thinking of using it myself haha. I know the Gx Tron match is hard, but I'd rather go Ancient Grudge, Natural State and Crumble to Dust all the way rather than getting Blood Moon. Or maybe trying Damping Sphere if it somehow fits. I guess you have tested Blood Moon and I'm probably missing something Smile

I got another 5-0 on my LGS today, I'm running really hot with the deck. To note that I haven't faced combo or Humans/Tron much, so luck has been on my side as well. I played against Jund x2, Burn, Mono Red Prison and GR Eldrazi mirror. I think I finally got a list I'm really happy with:

    Sideboard plan today:

    Jund:
    -4 Thought-Knot Seer
    +2 Relic of Progenitus
    +2 Kitchen Finks

    Burn:
    -2 Dismember
    -1 World Breaker
    +2 Kitchen Finks
    +1 Kozilek's Return

    Mono Red Prison:
    -2 Dismember
    -2 Eldrazi Obligator
    +2 Ancient Grudge
    +2 Natural State

    GR Eldrazi:
    On the play:
    -2 Lightning Bolt
    +2 Kitchen Finks
    On the draw:
    -1 Birds of Paradise
    -2 Nest Invader
    +2 Kitchen Finks
    +1 Kozilek's Return

World Breaker and Sea Gate Wreckage have performed pretty well for me week by week. On grindy matchups like Jund or the mirror they have been MVPs; supported by others results I have posted before on this thread, I don't think I'll be cutting them soon. I think if I end cutting World Breaker as end-of-curve, it would be for a Batterskull; the other GR Eldrazi player at my LGS have told me he was really happy with the results it has given. My cut on lands for Sea Gate Wreckage was a Cavern of Souls and I haven't regretted it so far. Nest Invader was also considerably better than Mind Stone, mostly relevant for having 2 bodies for 2 mana. The Spawn have visited chump-block City more than ramping, but I feel that gives enough value to be considered better (to me) than the stone. Lastly definitively quitting on Scavenging Ooze for good. I think this deck provides another offers and outs to not consider it needed, even as a one-of.

Thanks for reading and keep bringing data guys! Smile

What I'm convinced so far is that the 'core' of the deck is strong enough to let you run some weird techs with good results, I have tried that myself, and the results in the SCG Open this weekend confirms it (congratulations to Vicenzo Balistreli for representing the archetype so well!). This week I'll be testing 2 Eldrazi Mimic and 2 Nest Invader replacing 2 Mind Stone, the end-of-curve creature and Scavenging Ooze that goes main. I'm not very convinced of the Ooze, it's not enough graveyard disruption and most of our green sources aren't 'clean' enough to be rewarding. Even in grindy matchups I haven't seen him shine. Maybe I've been playing it poorly, but I'll test a more aggresive list to try to goldfish faster kills and see how it goes. The deck is almost clockwork tuned, it works great, but I like to play with it week by week.

Humans gets better the more sweepers you play - EE, Koz Return, All Is Dust etc..Also the 'latest tech' Thragtusk and Batterskull help you to stablize..

@pabloduque32 Perhaps take a look at the SCG Open list - I think cards like Thragtusk and Batterskull (or even Nissa VF) are better options at the top end then World Breaker (World Breaker is way too expensive outside of Gx Tron lists).

Im convinced that there is room for only 1 utility land and that is easily Kessig Wolf Run over Sea gate - if you play too many utility land you will colour screw yourself too often

World Breaker has worked fine for me. As a one-of, most of the games the 'core' of the deck finish the deal quickly enough to matter having the card sitting in our hand. In long games, the cast ability have been very useful, and 7 mana in a deck like ours is hard but its not impossible. Is not Tron disruption or Valakut at all, but having an answer main deck for annoying manlands, Blood Moon or Bridges makes it worth a test at least. It truly shines against lantern and control, and it doesn't get killed by most of the removal in modern. Worth a shot to me IMO. About the Utility land, I think you're right. I love Sea Gate Wreckage but the deck is really tight on land slots, so it probably has to go Frown

Played against humans we were both 4-0. He was able to reflecting mage Thalias Lieutenant his way to victory. I almost felt like putting torpor orb into my sideboard for the matchup. What deck list are you running?

Sounds rough but something that could happen often. I just faced Humans once with the deck but a BBE into Dismember exuded value on the third game. Felt really close, but I think it's a bit favorable for Humans. I'm actually running this:

I think 3 Caverns is a must but I'm wondering what to cut, since Sea Gate Wreckage has been an allstar to me. Also because I'm running World Breaker instead of the Eldrazi Planeswalker Endbringer. Going below 3 basics with so many Paths/Field of Ruin/Ghost Quarter around is too risky. Maybe I'll be cutting one Grove for it but I'll find out after some more testing. What are you guys running actually?

So I've seen people running Nest Invader in replacement of Talisman and Mind Stone. Anyone here has tried it? By the way I've done 2 consecutive 5-0 on my LGS with this deck. It's so powerful and well suited. Anyone tried the Humans matchup lately?

Hi everyone, first of all I'm new to the deck and I moved from Eldrazi Tron (Eldrazi fan of course) to this deck with positive results lately. Posting a 4-0-1 I did yesterday in my LGS in a few.

Curious if Damping Sphere will replace Crumble to Dust in SB when its legal...both are searchable with stirrings and its both 2CC less and hits decks like storm. Negative is it does turn off benefit from Eldrazi temple and it nonbo's with BBE. Though with enough BBEs being played could be good tech against it too...

I think I would exchange it for Grafdigger's Cage. It's like a Blood Moon card for everyone, with its upsides and downsides. I think that for this deck it will bring more advantage against certain matchupds than downsides. I'm eager to test it when the time comes, for sure.

It seems that Ironworks combo could start to see play again. Same as Lantern, now that Jace haven't found a proper core deck beyond UW Taking Turns and some other control decks. Any idea how to fight artifact-based decks other than affinity? I tend to sideboard my aggro-decks plan against affinity, so I think I don't have a proper answer to artifacts. Is Disenchant our only option?

By the way, how have you felt the Humans matchup? Any experiences? I'm hoping to find some on the way soon to test it. I'm planning to go to GP Las Vegas most likely to play this deck on June so if you guys can help me with data of a wider meta I would appreciate it a lot Smile

    Cheers,

It's like a colorless Blood Moon for everyone if you play it against Tron. The main issue with this and also blood moon is that you need to pressure somehow the Tron player before they start hardcasting stuff or find their removal. I could give it a go because it gives us the time we need to get there against combo decks. Against Tron, I'm not that sure.
