I have in my deck both Niblis of Frost and Swift reckoning. Generally, to this day, I've been casting other spell (like winged words)and then swift reckoning in order to tap and destroy creature..
however, I just realized that maybe any additional spells are not needed in this simple move.
If I have Niblis of frost on the battlefield and cast Swift reckoning, what resolves first? Nibli's ability or Swift reckoning spell? And one more important question: can I target untapped creature when casting Swift reckoning?
However this does not mean denial is worthless or useless. For instance if you flip the scenario and the opponent counters the bolt with overwhelming denial there are very little things the bolt caster can do to save their spell.
You are casting something (e.g. Lightning bolt). Your enemy don't like it very much and counter that spell (e.g. with Counterspell. Then, you are casting counter spell that cannot be countered (like Overwhelming denial.
And here is my question: what's the point of these spells? ;s
OK! The top spell from the stack resolves! overwhelimng denial counters counterspell. So, again, lightning bolt is the only spell on stack. The question is: can enemy cast another counterspell in order to counter lightning bolt? AFAIK yes what makes overwhelming denial useless spell...
...damn! this is tough question for me! Please help and answer!
thank you for your answer

So,

Let's take a look into actions:
>casting spell (e.g. Lightning bolt
>casting counterspell
>casting overwheliming denial
OK! The top spell from the stack resolves! overwhelimng denial counters counterspell. So, again, lightning bolt is the only spell on stack. The question is: can enemy cast another counterspell in order to counter lightning bolt? AFAIK yes what makes overwhelming denial useless spell...
