She is quite a powerful token generator for just 3 mana, tho. She would be totally bonkers if she were in Selesnya, where she can be played constantly at turn 2 and all the group buffing + token doubling effects are.

I like this kind of cards. White has some cards that benefits from creature entering the battlefield. God-Eternal Oketra or Cathars' Crusade. The Lion has the flexibility to bounce itself.

The one drop is a Human Cleric, tho. The 4-drop back is the spirit. I don't know. One drops in limited are tricky. They tend to fall behind to quickly and do little ( 1-2 damage). This card on the other hand has some recursion and is a flier later on. Both sites work well with equipment.

I think that Arlinns pack is involved. She is the alpha so the others will joined most likely. I think there was a story were she was able to hold back some werewolf from attacking Halana and Alena or somebody else... I am not sure.

I thought that demons in Innistrad didn't get 'resurrected'. After dieing their mana/essence gets recycled and used for a new Demon equaly/similar in power. The new demon has a new name and a different personality.

I have found this part in the Wiki-Article about Innistrad and the reason Avacyn imprisoned Demons instead of killing them:

    Quote from wikipedia
In the early days of Avacyn's presence in Innistrad, long before the block takes place, the archangel sought to rid the plane of its demonic influences. Accompanied by her fellow angels, she challenged each demon she encountered to single combat, defeating and dispatching them one-by-one. However, since demons are beings composed of pure mana, their defeat only meant that their physical forms were shattered, their dark essence living on. Eventually the black mana would coalesce in another dark corner of the plane, and another demon would appear.

We know that Angels are made from pure mana, too. The question is: will white mana behave similar as black in Innistrad? We got some information about the creation of the sisters in the story where we heard the first time of Liesa. It seems like all 4 angels where created from the same source:

The three angels had a long and complicated relationship with Avacyn. Gisela, Bruna, and Sigarda weren't truly sisters, not in any way that the word described humans. But they had come from the same essence, the same dawn times, and they had fought the horrors of the world together for a very long time. Before Avacyn had first appeared, a thousand years ago, there had been four sisters, one the eldest and most powerful of the angels. Bruna. Gisela. Sigarda. And the one they would no longer name.

    Assumption:
    1. Because of the death of 2 sisters there were enough essence for Liesa to return. or
    2. The sisters behave different than other mana construct on Innistrad because they origin is from some kind of special essence. So they literally resurrect after a long time. (very long time) or
    3. Avacyn didn't kill her. She just bound her somewhere.

Well we will see. I am not sure how the eldrazification or fusion will play out if they want to return Grisela or Bruna.

Edit: What if the Celestus is recreating the very first dawn or a special event. The same event resulting to the creation of the 4 Angels long ago and therefore the dead Angels reappear or at least the longer dead one?

    you know i noticed this

isn't it funny how liesa ability here is worded like a phyrexian praetor

    *you get benefits*

    *they get downfalls*

for this case you creatures comeback from the graveyard to your hand

    the opponents lose them forever.

just got to super mega tin foil hat liesa is what the phyrexians are after in innistrad if we are to see a praetor here or crimson vow

Well I think her new card is more in line with Giselas original card Gisela, Blade of Goldnight. I find this fitting because both are the enemy colored sisters and one of the effect is white while the other one is from the other color. While Bruna, Light of Alabaster and Sigarda, Host of Herons had just one effect that fits both allied colors. I wouldn't make any conclusion to the phyrexians Wink

Well I am interested to read how she is still alive. Even if she just pull out a trick she was absent for YEARS. I would like so see Sigardas reaction. Non of the sisters supported Avacyn on her crusade against her but Liesa didn't got any help either. Did she die but somehow got resurrected? I think demons in Innistrad get resurrected as different demons (but the same mana). Maybe it works similar for angels but over a longer time? Maybe we will see Bruna and Gisela in a return to return to return to... Innistrad again?

I mean... yeah it would fit with the way there were throwing Angel characters away. Maybe something happens when all sisters are dead.

I am sure that Sigarda is trying to help Arlinn and Teferi out by causing a distraction for them.

Ah and I am sure that the card isn't the Czech version. Looks more like Chinese or something like that.

Why is Sigarda, the leader of an Angel faction, this disconnected with her own kind. I get it, Angels in Innistrad cares for humans but they could do it like with Bruna, the Fading Light or Herald of War. She would be a cool Angel commander or engine at least and green works nice with the other expensive angels, too. We already had our human-lover Sigarda card :/. The art is beautiful too but there is no reason to play her outside of human strats.

Yeah they could have fix the mana cost at least. Or just give it the 'Other permanents you control have indestructible.' without the self-indestructible.

This Angel is in a strange spot. A 3/3 for 5 Mana with flying and double strike is okay but the other side of the card will rarely pay off. And at least in commander it has some serious competition at 5 Mana (Lyra Dawnbringer, Archangel of Thune, Angel of Sanctions, Angel of Destiny, Karmic Guide...). Angels will be played with life gain stuff and her effects doesn't play well with that. She really needs flash to be considerable to play her as oh ***** button and even than you need to keep 5 Mana open. Other than that she looks like fun. I didn't expected a DFC Angel in this set.

Sigarda obviously has taken on Avacyn's role as leader of the angelic protectors of humanity, but with the angels severely reduced in power after Avacyn's undoing, who would be surprised that Innistrad returns to a more pre-Avacyn's-return level of uneasy life for humans?

The complaints about continuity issues actually cancel out each other. And let's not forget that despite the things that stay the same there is new developments on the front how humans fair by their embrace of covens.

    How I understand the story:
The main problem (where Avacyn was absent and humanity was on the edge of being extinguished) of the first two set in Innistrad was that firstly Vampire were high in number and secondly only Bruna and her flight of Alabasta was doing their job while the other Angels were too depress to do anything (A little strange because Sigarda is stated to be the one being unconnected to Avacyn). The problem here is that Bruna and her flight were responsible for the Blessed Sleep which protected the humans from spirits but kept the good spirits away, too.

With shadow over Innistrad the situation changed a bit. Nahiri and most likely Emrakul decimated the Vampire population. Bruna was changed by Emrakul which lead to the removal of the Blessed Sleep. Humans and Spirits were able to form a connection. Thalia were the main example for this. She even created a new Order and was able to use Avacyns Spear with the help of Saint Traft. I think humanity is in a better place now than in the first two sets.
