Maybe a protection option with upsides for Shalai and Hallar the decks is already doubling on +1/+1 counters and runs some other counter synergies.

Edit: Oh and some combo potential with the likelink counter if you don't want to run Heliod, Sun-Crowned or run multiple combos that does the same. With for example Archangel of Thune or Cleric Class.

I like it. You can trigger him by yourself on your turn, too. And the cost is low, too. Combine him with token doubling stuff in white, some of white treasure enchantments and X spells in black.

    What I could read:

    Galadriel, Elven-Queen 2GU
    Legendary Creature - Elf Noble
Will of the council -- At the beginning of combat on your turn, if another Elf entered the battlefield under your control this turn, starting with you, each player votes for dominion or guidance. If dominion gets more votes, the Ring tempts you, then you put a +1/+1 counter on your Ring-bearer. If guidance gets more votes or the vote is tied, draw a card.
    4/5

Sauron, Lord of the Rings 5UBR (oof)
    Legendary Creature -- Avatar Horror
When you cast this spell, amass Orcs 5, mill five cards, then return a creature card from your Graveyard to the battlefield.
    Trample
Whenever a commander an opponent controls dies, the Ring tempts you.
    9/9

EDIT: Correct mana cost of Galadriel

All 3 are rather boring in my opinion. Aragorn is the more exciting one. Beregond is a more restrictive version of Goldnight Commander with some benefits.

interesting something of a reverse could be done also? Faruel

or somekind of a new morph and flipcard that can change back and fort like werewolves but without the day and night cycles

I am sure they can do it. Planeswalker equipt with Luxior, Giada's Gift and Grand Master of Flowers already work like creatures with planeswalker abilities. I am sure if they want to do something like that they can. Is partially already there.

I dont even think he stay dead or if his dead, i domt think he'll never appear again as a card.

Serra was long dead, Urza is long dead but we see them now printed recently

First I doubt that Jace is dead. They just kept him for some surprise arrival or to keep phyrexia a reachable thread without putting out some new stuff.

About Urza and Serra: Both got a card in a non-standard set which is totally okay. The Venser scale only applies to standard-legal sets. Urza got printed in a standard-set which plays in the past what make it possible to print dead characters but make it difficult because of story and time travel shenanigans. So yeah being dead doesn't mean we will never see them again. I doubt we will see characters like Domri Rade again, tho. He wasn't that important or iconic.

They could do something similar like with Grist, the hunger tide.

It is harder to keep up with 4 players than 1v1 for sure but I think the commander precons do a really good job for keeping the power level similar. We mostly play with them out of the box without changes. Sure you are more limited in style/strategy/themes/mechanics but I think that they keep the complexity of a game low while restricting the game to a limited amount of mechanics. Specially the commander starter decks. Nonetheless you have more interactions and combinations in 4 player games and those can be overwhelming for beginners (responding to other spells, using the stack and so on, remember static abilities on the field). I don't believe that a newcomer to magic should buy a expensive deck by buying single cards. Just buy a precons with your friend or maybe you have some precons available and your friend can borrow one from you.

New Planechase cards are nice, I guess. I don't know a lot about Doctor Who but if some of the cards are creative like some of the Warhammer cards then I am here for it.

It's nice to have some products that somebody can skip completely. Planeswalker, Eldrazi, and Sliver aren't things that interest me. And the Enchantment creature creating Zombies out of enchantments killed it for me, too.

If I am correct the main set will just be reprints.

They said in the stream that Sigarda is now able to produce Halo by herself. Let's see how that turns out for the humans in Innistrad. Addicted maniacs for the win...

hm shouldn't the full art Gallery for the set be online, too? I would like to see the different versions.

I have to say that it was hard to listen to the stream without being bored or irritated. Both Emily and Roy have some presentation/talking issues. I am not sure if they weren't prepared to talk about the story or what the problem was. But so much "uhhhss" from Roy's side and emotionless quiet talking with some awkward long silence breaks from Emily side. Is really hard to get hyped up or to even understand what they wanted to say.

Even after he returned the products it isn't like he got nothing from this... He got a huge cloud. His videos have normally 2000 - 5000 views. The one where he talks about the pinkertons has 50k views and the one where he opened the Aftermath products had even more. I am not sure if it was worth it, tho. He took the leak videos down after all.

  • posted a message on Could going to xerex actually potentially be on the taple?
I believe it is a coincidence if we go to Xerex next year. At least nothing to do with the poll from Mark Rosewater. We know that they work about two years in advance and that the set is finalized about one year in advance (before the actual release of a set). At least that was what I could take from MaRos Blogatog/Drive to Works.

So it is more possible that we will see Xerex and the other popular (obscure) options in 2025 and only if they can make it work.

I would like to see Amonketh, Theros, Kaldheim, New Capenna and Strixhaven after the invasion. And a return to Alara would be nice, too. For my part, it would be fine to have multiple sets that show us 3 planes in one set. To get a feeling of what is going on and how the planes are doing. And getting new Sets of planes like Xerex afterward. I know that it is unlikely because Aftermath was supposed to be that I guess. I just hope that the new sets for Eldrain and Ixalan aren't starting a new big story chapter.

Alayna Danners set is interesting artwork wise: Male version of Sunblast Angel, Linvala seems to be a moon version to Sunblast Angel. Seraph Sanctuary looks a lot like Emeria, the sky ruin and both look a little like something I would expect in Serra's Realm.
