Note how for Ral it has a name that doesn't exist yet, while the name for the Jace artwork wasn't revealed. I think Ral shows up in Bloomburrow, but Jace doesn't. Whether or not Ral is still a planeswalker remains to be seen. Omenpaths are a thing now, remember.

Could be. I think it is just coincidence. Sagas are just a very good way to show/tell us a story or a sequence of events.

They could do something similar like with Grist, the hunger tide.

I believe it is a coincidence if we go to Xerex next year. At least nothing to do with the poll from Mark Rosewater. We know that they work about two years in advance and that the set is finalized about one year in advance (before the actual release of a set). At least that was what I could take from MaRos Blogatog/Drive to Works.

So it is more possible that we will see Xerex and the other popular (obscure) options in 2025 and only if they can make it work.

I would like to see Amonketh, Theros, Kaldheim, New Capenna and Strixhaven after the invasion. And a return to Alara would be nice, too. For my part, it would be fine to have multiple sets that show us 3 planes in one set. To get a feeling of what is going on and how the planes are doing. And getting new Sets of planes like Xerex afterward. I know that it is unlikely because Aftermath was supposed to be that I guess. I just hope that the new sets for Eldrain and Ixalan aren't starting a new big story chapter.

Are you sure? I am missing 4 cards in my crunsh. 0020 in addition to 0006, 0036 and 0041. And I have this rarity distribution: UC 15, R 25, MR 10
MR we have Nissa, Calix, Kiora, Narset, Samut, Sarkhan, Tyvar, Karn (which are 8) with Nahiri and Ob Nixilis 10.

They throw away a lot of potential by naming it Battle... didn't they? I know it fits well now with MOM... But for example if they had named it Event or something similar they could even have parties and parades etc. like the wedding from Innistrad could have been an Event - Party, and the MOM invasions could have been Event - Battle Siege or something like that. Maybe even Event - Siege would have been enough because Siege seems to be the important part of the card.

It's really awkward how the Angels are just to small to saddle this individually, but also so big that you waste a lot of additional power if you use them.

I cannot believe how after day-log discussions about how players cannot comprehend nonflying Birds we get this art of a Unicorn with indicated cloud-wings and it doesn't gain flying when saddled. I have a feeling this art got commissioned before a mechanical change to the card.

I Can speculate on the theft deck right away for hype cards defintely get Xanathar, Guild Kingpin, and Tasha, the Witch Queen while you can unless D&D universe cards can be reprinted in mtg universe commander decks safe bet those won't be reprints.

The treasure deck with Olivia is mardu, tho.

The Naya Person doesn't look like a villian to me. Is the Izzet Commander Narset? Looks kind of her.

Odd choice for a reprint, given lack of lifegain synergy that we've seen so far. And if they are introducing us to angels on this plane for the first time, sort of a letdown to make it a reskinned reprint (though the art is quite cool).

I agree, no one is forced to like these changes. But unless some person can tell me why the hell skin color is so important for Tolkien's work, I don't see anything problematic with it either. I personally like to see some interesting reinterpretation from time to time. Why not? When I think Theoden, I don't immediately think 'white'. I think of his corruption through Saruman and Wormtongue, his loss of his son, his relationship to Eomer and Eowyn etc.

Also if LotR is a myth for Great Britain basically about a long gone era of humanity (which Tolkien states is the case) then people having dark skin makes perfect sense, seeing as this was the case for the civilizations of Britain only 6000 years ago (considering how long ago when compared to the modern era LotR needs to be, that fits perfectly). So even from that standpoint it seems fine to me (even though Tolkien wouldn't have known about that fact).

But yes, no one has to like it. I do. You can't argue about taste though. Either side is valid.

Yeah I think we're going to see New Capenna and Arcavios one way or another, then with Kaldheim and prolly Theros. Maybe the Fall set of 2024 will be Xerex to start the new standard year.
