I would love to see some Trading Post, maybe we could start running a bunch of Filigree Familiars to keep us alive and get value with the Posts. I played a budget version of U Tron (from MTGGoldfish) that used the posts, and it was fine, but even slower than normal U tron.

Hey guys, I am thinking about getting into midrange as I already have U-tron for big mana/control. There was a recent budget magic deck on mtggoldfish here that I thought looks fun. Is this in any way along a path to a full deck? I already had the paths and the angels and some of the other stuff. I can stick with the reanimator and gradually get a manabase going, then start transitioning into the better threats. But I also would like to hear your thoughts if you don't mind, as you are all the ones who have had to pick up these BGx decks already.

Can anyone help me make my budget build a bit better? I don't have lilis or TS (which is the budget part im sorry i dont have them), but i have a lot of other choices and I have no idea which should be more valued. My current decklist:

    My sideboard:

I feel like I don't like the Necrogen Mists, though they are good against decks that try to draw and hold a lot of cards. I have access to more blackmail, funeral charms, another ratchet bomb, and more duresses. Any other cheaper discard I can easily get at my LGS I just don't have the money to get lili right now. I think I want to drop the mists, and maybe bring the waste nots into the mainboard, but they would also be taking the spot of more discard spells and could lead to bad topdecks.

What do you guys think about a mono-white list like this? My meta has shifted to be a lot of deaths shadow, with a few tron, UW control, and eldra tron players, followed by single players of mono-white taxes, BW tokens, and then I think there are a few elves players. I mostly need help with the sideboard and in terms of the mainboard, I do not know if I should have the crusaders instead of big Thalia or other creatures.

So I am thinking about buying into a version of Death and Taxes, and I have mostly been looking favorably upon BW Eldrazi and Taxes as my choice because I want to abuse Eldrazi Displacer. However I also do not have a standard decklist for UW that I have found for me to be able to test, and was wondering if: A. it is worth the try to see if I like it and B. whether there is a stock list for UW that I could use.

My LGS is very diverse, but with many decks trying to win with creatures (Lots of GDS players), or spells like Storm or Scapeshift (I am one of maybe 3 Tron players out of the 25 people so not many lands decks(U Tron is best Tron)) so I think white may be good for the ability to get boardwipes, or maybe I should go for BW for the major disruption. Can anyone help me with these questions and decisions?

I have a question as a person looking for his next deck project. In the simplest terms: is this deck worth learning? I don't mean whether you personally like it and think it is the best thing ever, because I know there are other decks like GDS that are clearly more powerful (or should I say less weak) against other decks in the format. I will put in the time to grind with decks (my main deck is U-Tron a similar underdog deck which requires a lot of thought) and think that this deck, in particular, looks like a good one to learn.

well I actually do own one academy ruins from the U Tron deck i own, so I'll have to figure out whether I want a 1-1 split of Academy and Buried Ruins, or maybe I should throw in an extra basic for the second ruins due to the number of ghost quarters I usually see at my LGS. Definitely was thinking of going for Spires but also shouldnt be too hard to get some glimmers. I also already own 3 Surgicals from my 8-Rack deck, so I guess i just need maybe one more or one of the split second one. The other issue is that I'm not sure what I should put into the deck in place of the Leylines, if there even is a replacement. I suppose orbs of warding but they are far inferior.

well I do see that in thnkr's budget deck, he still has three ensnaring bridges. im not looking to push the deck sub-100, but maybe more in the 300-400 range. at that point im just shaving off the opals, some of the lands, and one bridge.

Is it actually possible to have a viable budget version of this deck? I see in the first post of this thread thnkr's budget list, but is there one that is more updated? I especially see a lot of talk about aether grid, and i cant imagine its that expensive that it wouldnt be included in a budget deck.

Pardon me for asking, but what is the purpose of the higher amount of card draw and filtering in the Under 100 Tix list? Why not run another solemn and mindslaver for example? Some of these choices seem very different from the path to the non-budget version and I am just wondering the reasoning.

Edit: To be more specific I am talking about the anticipate and the epiphany, at least one of which just seems to be replacing a repeal.

I just read the FAQ you made about this deck, but I noticed you did not mention Newlamog or the new Emrakul. I know that shok was messing with them a few months ago and I'm interested in that testing. I currently have mtggoldfish's trading post tron deck and am one trip to the store away from a more normal deck with Ugin and some O Stones and the creatures like wurmcoil and such.
