@dzung; sounds like good changes. Most of the decks I tried Vexing Devil in just did not work right, the choice is always against us. Risk factor is mitigated a little by Jumpstart, but it is a late game card.
@Lord Nahkiin; will do , my deck list is still all over the place. Trying multiple combos as back ups.I am not depending on the grinding station. It seems to feeble and easy to disrupt.
@ Ulka, Vrs Dredge I usually try to surgical's the dredge creatures, leave the bloodghasts alone because they trade fairly easily.
@ Bowen, If you do drop the Angels ( I think you should not (at least keep 1-2)), you could replace them with thalia's lieutenant or hanweir militia captain . If you think you could use more mana in your deck you could try knight of the white orchid.
Answers for chalice = sundering growth. It can target artifacts and enchantments plus nets you a token maybe. Wispmare can not target Artifacts. Leonin is ok but they could get back a Hollow One or Worship which hurts later when they get their removal.
Between Path, ruined halo, Blessed Alliance, I think Thing In The Ice could be Fine. You just get to recast your stuff and get more life gain.
Does anyone have some sites that share the deck play?
In my mind I agree that the semblance anvil is much worse than preban kci because
1. Kci can respond after scrap tralwer is removed. Either cast another scrap tralwer. Or at a minimum sacrifice it for 2 mana.
2. Self milling to get 2 myr retrievers is low probability. It will require luck and amount to wasted turns.
3. Graveyard hate. Once they have a rest in peace type hate I don't think this new deck has an alternative win con. Old kci could still win without graveyard or side in 4 nature's claims. I don't think this new deck can react to a surgical extraction because it is solely based on 2 myr retrievers.
I have actually used the transitional sideboard plan. G2 side out almost all the combo and went with Karn or thopter tokens. It makes the Grave hate useless and forces them to think if third game we would change again or not the gameplan.
I find your second point more problematic. And I can't think of another answer that isn't sorcery speed
I haven’t played this Anvil deck nor seen it played, but could Whir of Invention be a way to fetch out a Myr Retriever or any other card that is needed? It seems a bit mana intensive but is a way to gets it all done.
although the convoke is actually possible, 3 blue mana makes it very slow. You would be able to realistically cast it for 2 on turn 3, taping all your mana sources, and without KCI the deck is much more tight on mana than before
Hmm, those are all valid points, especially with the mana-base being colourless like Buried Ruins, Inventors fair ect. Whir would be pretty difficult to cast even with the Eggs to filter, and the payoff may not be worth it after all that work.
I’ve been given some card suggestions that I’ve had people come up with for Semblance Station Deck, but I’m not exactly an expert in this area. What would you guys think about:
These cards in conjunction with Sai, Master Thopterist, Myr Retriever and Grinding Station can create some infinite loops by themselves. Although going along these routes makes me wonder why we don’t play a Sly Sword Deck tbh.
Wow, that was the approach I was taking. Brewing all on my own in secret. I now hove to toss my lab looking for your hidden camera. At least you did not pick up the trinisphere, lodestone combo I was building.
I get it a nice concession choice. The Goldilocks man land. I have got stuck in more than a few games where I needed a man land to keep up the attack, but failed to put one in the deck.
All valid points. I have not tried the mulligan rule with this deck but choose to re-invent a deck around the rule in order to get the rule banned. Thought process is to create a turn 1 lock.
I am not against the London mulligan rule, but feel it will be abused. I think it is a "feel good" rule for new players entering into standard or Arena. There are still Vintage and Legacy tournaments that see a player base. So that is a consideration with this new rule.
Sphinx is a good card but in my play testing it performed badly as a hand opener. Yes you get a 3 scry but you also have a dead card for 3-5 turns. the trade off is long game or short game.
@ulka:
I like your deck I played something similar.
I like LS, I played the full 4, I would also look for a spot MB for 1 basic swamp (bloodmoon, path to exile), the martyrs for me either have been good or terrible overall so I am not a fan.
Sb
I would take out Auriok and switch with Mirran Crusader
I play 2 Blessed alliance verses boggles
temple of light and forsake the worldly seem like over kill, what decks are you planing on using them for? keep in mind your deck uses a few Enchantments also. Would sundering growth be a better card?
as for leylines I do not own any so I have no expertise on them. The seem good vs storm & hand disruption, burn is not much of an issue. 3 slots are a lot. I think 2 damping sphere would be better (tron, storm,) 1 shalai, voice of plenty (hexproof for most)
Good Luck, nice to see a fellow SS kicking the deck out.
I play tested a few hands with this deck and it seemed a bit weird. The playstyle feels like you need a threat in hand. I also did not see good ways to cast the bedlam on T4-5 spell count in GY was low. I am sure it will play differently with an opponent. What advice would you offer for keeping hands.
I am not going to FNM. My LGS is closing and I dont really want to go to another one right now. I am also a bit tired and sore from work.
I see that many players on this thread a are using 2-3 Mantis Riders. Don't you hate spending 3 mana and then see your creature getting bolted? I can see why it's good in Humans where it can become a 4/4 and because no one has 30 Bolts to kill all Humans, but in our decks? Is everyone who's using this card happy with it?
@Stevo: I love me some Mantis. They usually do not die to bolts on average. First bolt is taken by Delver, mantis comes in hot T3-4. In past builds I held up counter/protection magic ( I will be going back to this style I think). It also synergies with Godhead so nicely. A 5/5 lifelink unblockable fly vigilance is super nice. It can be tricky getting the mana right on T3 but it also can put your opponent on a fast clock.
@ccc: I do not own 4 snappys, and do not own spell queller. I am very impressed with quelller and may pick some up. Snappys I am still getting use to playing.

over all sphinx was not impressive enough with this build. Maybe with a more control Jeskia Variant.
(edit)
I added dusk//dawn MB and had settle SB
I found this week that I wished settle was MB and did not want the Dusk at all. Instant speed removal & exile is good. Merfolk and Spirits instant speed mass removal could have helped. I did cast it on spirits but it got spellquelled once and spirit pierced the next time.
I have flooed out a few times in the last month.
I will be changing the deck and going much more aggro build.

I think "fringe" means fringe. jeskia is too popular and grix delver too.
Sorry to Counter your Daze
I am going to try your Deck this FNM. So if it doesnt work it's your fault. JK

I will add dusk//dawn main board still have settle in SB
-2 remands +1 dusk, +1 mana leak
since I added the sphinx the deck wants to play more controlish any how.
edit: how does everyone feel about whelming wave instead of a wrath?
