I've noticed a lot of threads discussing which quilds would be aligned with Bolas but no one mentions the people of Ravnica who are not aligned with any guild.
My inquiry is: What role (if any) would or should the Gateless and those not aligned with any guild play in War of the Spark?
As far aw we know, about half of Ravnica's population is guildless and Krenko himself is not a part of any guild. The Gateless refers to rebels who want to do away with the guild system all together as those without guilds suffer as a result of interguild conflict. I think it is in one of Gideon's stories, but the Boros were tasked with suppressing Gateless riots with Gideon sympathizing with their cause.
They just seem like they should have a greater impact on the Ravnica story then they do, with them barely being mentioned. They seem to be able to muster some amount of force and I could see them making a move with the chaos of a interguild Ravnican Civil War. To be honest, it seems like Wizards forgot about the Gateless.
Beings native to a plane tend to not know anything about the existence of planeswalkers. There is an entire uncharted realms article, Project Lightning Bug, that is about Ral Zarek and Jace trying to keep the existence of planeswalkers a secret from Niv Mizzet.
